My father (67) wants to buy a tablet between 200-300 euros... Well I guess he'll mainly play Sudoku on it and surf a bit. I think the 720p ones at 10.1 inch should be enough. I guess the only important thing is, that it doesn't fucking stutter on webpages during scrolling, that it has some easy to use UI and good wifi reception. A camera should also be there for the occasional skype session. Any recommendations?

Anyone have experience with Lenovo tablets? I'm thinking about getting a tablet.
Mainly it will be used to watch anime and light gaming maybe.
Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is just soo expensive.
Was thinking about Lenovo Yoga 10'(can get it for $100 cheaper)
and Nvidia Shield Tablet?
Thoughts?

only important thing for deciding which tablet to buy: is the bitch under heavy custom rom development. if not, just do not buy it... badass OLED and perfect black levels or not.

If you change the colour profile. Black levels are to be expected, it's AMOLED. Black means the pixel is turned off, so it doesn't get any blacker than that.
Out of the box it is typical Samsung oversaturation, with colours that "pop". You need to set it to one of the two accurate modes for accurate colours. It's nice that they offer multiple profiles finally though.
Just a shame that it's still Samsung, which most likely means crappy software just like on the Tab 2, 3 and 4. All of them held back by both bloatware and an unstable modified version of Android. Maybe they finally fixed that too.

at least you can delete/freeze/disable bloatware with titaniumbackup and similar programs, unlike certain completely locked out tablets from certain company.
