Fantastic timing! I just had to warranty my JB 5 which had the sleep button problem on Friday, was hoping it wouldn't be too long before there was a 7 JB seeing as the phone they gave me came with 6.1.4
Edit: So, after reading the thread I'll probably hold off on the actual JB, but now would probably be a smart time to update to 7.0.4, right?

The Chinese app has been removed entirely from the installation.

Appsync 7.0 is out and reportedly working fine..(might need to install afc2ad as well) with iFunbox.

*I Jailbroke my iPhone5C and can install all apps thru iFunbox. All works fine on 7.0.4

I recently jb my ipad because I wasn't able to get the netflix app (witch I've started using on my PC/Phone not too long ago), got that however and all is well but it hit me that now with a jb ipad there's a world of possibilities and mainly the option to get any app I want without Apple telling me I can't because it's not available in my region store. So now I'm looking for the pandora app but can't find it outside of file sharing sites that require premium membership.
So, long story short: new jb user, are there any interesting sites for jb users?
Note: I don't know if this is the proper place for this, but it seems close enough.

Haha, sorry Sabin, I had a big thing typed up but then I realized it's all shit that you'd already know. 
Stuff like:
Which source did you install from? Make sure it's from theirs.
Did you install the dependencies? You probably have (like AppSync and stuff).
Remove any other tweaks and other crap to try and get yourself back to as close as you can to vanilla jailbreak'ed iPad, then re-install it.
Run Cydia and check for any updates.
This is just the basic crap I run through whenever something I get doesn't work. Usually I'd even go so far as restore firmware, re-jailbreak, and install that first and see what happens.
You're always way smarter than most of us at this crap so you've probably been through all that basic crap.

I would also recommend to check the source you installed from. IIRC it is also available from the insanelyi (or whatever) repo. Maybe if one does not work, try the other.

Yeah, I've tried all the usual stuff but nothing seems to work, the app insta-crashes on launch. AppCake is terrible, linking to the same god awful free hosts you'd find on places like Heaven iPhone, but most of those sites don't support mobile devices, so the links fail >_< I guess I'll jut have to install iTunes/iFunbox on my triple E and install IPAs manually, urgh Thanks anyhow, man, it's much appreciated

I guess it can't hurt to try another source, I'm sure I saw more than one and just chose the "official" one since they were all the same version number. Thanks!

No go I'm afraid. I tried another copy from a different repo, this one was 1.05 and was from Frinks. Click, flash of 25pp logo, then crash to springboard. Oh well, I guess it's not meant to be

EDIT: Is the new AppSync out on Cydia somewhere yet or still needs manual install?

I'm considering it, have they fixed the OTA.issues yet? The only PC here doesn't have a net connection unless I tether my Xperia to it, I'd rather not leave a JB to chance.

Mine has always updated OTA and my jailbreak went completely fine. I can't speak for it being completely fixed though.
Also LocalIAPStore running very nice since they updated for 64-bit!

Really? Can't you change the options to not automatically sync on connect?
Also, just successfully jb'd a iPhone 5S that had OTA updates. Went perfect.

Unless you tell iTunes to sync, it will not erase anything. When it asks you to set up the device, just hit cancel. Even if you set up as a new device, unless you tick to sync your music, video and app libraries (it doesn't by default), it will not erase anything.

Yup, Apple fucked my iPad.... AGAIN!!!!! Connected via itunes, cancelled sync, ran the update, it got to the "waiting for ipad" screen and then threw a fucking Error 6, cancelled the update, locked my fucking pad in DFU mode telling me I have to restore. Now I've lost everything, just as I said I would, and I'm a month away from going home where I'll have to blank the fucking thing AGAIN when i try to reconnect to my home PC because the fucking geniuses that designed this shit made it so that if you try to connect your device to another computer then they blank it.
How unlucky do I have to be? Fuck Apple, software developers are a bunch of fucking talentless cowboys. I'm sick and fucking tired of issues on this piece of shit, it's about time I got rid of it.

Since a couple versions ago or so it won't blank it when syncing with a new system. I know because I just did it and was expecting as much and it didn't. I used to hate iTunes because of that but now that it doesn't it's easy and reliable to use. I have no idea why your iPad is fucking up, but if you are jail breaking you can't honestly expect the process to ever be trouble free.

If your iPad was already jailbroken then that's why you couldn't update. You need to restore.
And yeah mchart is right, I restored my brothers iPhone 5 on my Mac and backed it up on it, he could still sync it back on his PC fine, even though I reinstalled all his apps from my Mac.
I was in your case Sabin multiple times, losing my stuff but now I learnt my (multiples) mistake : always backup before updating / restoring an iOS device, because with JB it can always go wrong before or after updating (in my case it bricked because I had updated to 7.0.4 through OTA. And evasion fails to JB OTA FW and will brick your iPhone).
