you are right cpu throttling isn't that bad, but gpu throttling is pretty extreme (clock drops by half if i remember it correctly) and it's very noticeable in games.
slenoj wrote: | Guess what, set it higher if you want, it's a .conf file.
I have mine set for battery throttle trigger at 45C and cpu at 75C, plus i'm undervolted by a 150mv and don't suffer from throttling at all.. |
lol raising throttle threshold doesn't solve anything, it just makes it worse. so you just confirmed that N4 does indeed have heat problem.
and no, other phones don't have such bad heat problems, my S3 hardly reaches 40C in stabily test after 30 mins, while N4 does 50C+ in just 15 mins.

do you people ever take into consideration that the world DOESNT always see things the way you do? some like gaming on phones, some dont, some want all the processing power in the world but do use it, some dont care... there is CLEARLY different markets for things since we see phones like Xperia play and stuff (bad example since it tanked) that caters directly to gamers.
I have no idea where the sudden hostility came from in here but learn to respect eachother's view points and not flame.

Overall I think HTC is winning. Their camera is best and I like sense
I can get it for aout 1200pln a bit used I think. that is almost 400euro.
(it costs same or more with contract which I don't want ebcause I have 2 more years on current one)

No, no and no. Either get an S3 or a One X once their successors are out and have been on the shelf for some time or nothing. Or a One S.

There is no official ICS or JB for it.
And it scores about 3000 points less than an S2 in Antutu.

I'd recommend the LG 4X HD, considering it's the same chipset as in the One X, but think first, LG support for its phones is really lacking. And the projector gimmick...it really isn't worth it, the phone itself is kurwa.

I'm afraid the note2 is just too big. And I don't like the S3.
IMO you should go to a store and hold them all to see what you like.

Well I dont want s4 because it will be very costly at launch. s3 is good and tested and note2 have been proven to have good battery life

No, it is not, had it for some months, it's below S2 as far as performance goes.
Nexus 4 overheats and is a fingerprint magnet. The Xperia Z boasts a TFT screen which is probably the worst screen on a flagship this generation. If you're okay with non-expandable memory, go for the HTC One, it seems to be really sturdy and performance is just below the quad-core Galaxy S4. Or just wait for the S4, preferrably the Exynos Octa version, since it has four Cortex A15 cores (which in theory should blow everything else out of the water).
The Galaxy Note 2 is far too big, even I find it big and my hands are huge, not worth getting it just cause it has a pen. The S3 might be a good purchase, but wait for a few weeks until the dust settles down with the S4, prices should be going down afterwards on previous flagships. I have a One X right now, upgraded to 4.1.2, and to be honest, I had no issues with it. Nice "ceramic" unibody design couple with the best screen that generation had to offer and the versatile Tegra 3.

when you feel like it, root it and de-bloat it
i recommend wanamlite rom, it's a nice stock rom with bloatware removed, so you get stability and performance of stock without all the useless trash.

Great purchase, truly.
Slightly big for me, but it's a great device.

I believe it's safe to say that if it's not purchased from a carrier, it's going to be bloatware free.

not entirely, there's still about one metric ton of samsung bloatware, all kinds of stupid shit that you'll probably never use. on my S3 i removed everything i don't need and running processes went from about 20 to 5, and idle ram usage from 600-700mb to 400-500mb |
True as though that may be (I would never use half the S-<insert name here> services which come with standard Samsung devices), some of them can be useful, especially on a Note, although this is debatable. I don't consider this a phone which would be used by anyone, but rather by people which are busy and simply don't have the time to use a desktop or a laptop and would need some of the suites present on it. However, as is the case with KC, I'm sure that getting rid of them will prove beneficial, especially when it comes to more free memory, for games and more demanding apps.

I am not rooting yet. Device works wonderfully so why would I?
I've got a very important question tho.
I have 16gb version (internal storage -no sd card) and selected mtp as usb conenction method. Drivers installed and I can see note2, open it, copy files FROM it, delete but for nothing I cannot copy anything onto it. Maybe something small after like 30minutes per 1mb or less.
Only method I've found is to use filezilla and one app from play store to copy via wifi

using Android Revolution HD on my S3 increased battery life by an estimated 20%. I'd recommend it since it's extremely easy to do.
