On your system as it is, you'll run it great and looking a lot better than HD release - with the exception of the FMVs which are supposedly upscaled. Though why run such a delicious CPU at stock speeds?

Just run it at 3x internal res at 1920x1080. Done. The "HD" version is just an upsample.
It doesn't metter how much sharp "PC version" will run,FFX PS3 got updated models and etc... it will always look a bit better unless someone will mod the emulated version.
got to agree with the last guys comments its not just the fmvs they have upgraded its in game graphics aswell,it really does look fantastic now compared to the PS2 version atleast.
@ sabin yeah ive run it on the emu @4x native/1920x1080 and it does look a damn sight better than the PS2's native settings but its still not as good as the HD version.its a shame there aren't texture packs for PCSX2 like you can use with dolphin or project64.
I gotta say, Lulu's model looks incredible! So yeah, the models have been updated a bit but the rest can be done just as easily with PCSX2 which is great if,you haven't got the "HD" copy.

i guess it would look/run great on my rig by now, but i wanna be able to play it on the go, in bed, get trophies, etc
tbh, i was too lazy to overclock my CPU. everything runs perfectly fine so far, so i decided to OC only when it's necessary
They also remixed/retuned the entire OST for FFX as well and I gotta say, a few niggles aside, it really does kick ass.
Ideally you want to open this in a new page and check the tracklisting in the info box, it has jump points to each song. A lot of them sound very, very good.
Time to dust of the PS3, see you all in about 4 weeks.

Note for < 4.53 CFW users :
The game has many SPRX and a few SELF files, that all have 4.53 FW
requirement in their header. For people on <4.53 CFW, Multiman usually
fixes this automatically (when it asks you to fix the game for your firmware)
but because this game has about 1200 files to patch, Multiman can't handle
this and won't patch them all.
Therefore, if you use the original EBOOT.BIN on a <4.53 CFW, the game will
return the infamous 800010009 error. Our patched EBOOT.BIN has the header
patched already, so the game menu will work, but it will return to XMB
whenever you choose FFX or FFX-2 since we left the other SELF and SPRX
untouched.
Two alternatives to fix this :
a. upgrade your CFW to 4.53+ and no file patching is needed
b. resign all SPRX and SELF files for 4.20+ on your PC. Many public
tools can do it, so we thought we wouldn't have to do it for you. Since
the Japanese release of the game had the same problem for <4.46 CFW,
instructions can be found on the web ..
During our testings, both FFX and FFX-2 worked fine on a 4.21 CFW after
resigning the files. Also tested on CFW 4.53 where it works without the need
to resign anything.

What fucking garbage that blitzball game is. I just can't beat it. No chance at all. It's laid up in a way that you better fucking win, or you're a damn loser and breaking your promise. But i just can't win this shit for the life of me. I almost had it once, but they fucking changed tidus with wakka at the last minute or so and he was as worthless as the other generics and made me lose.
I played Final Fantasy X and loved it but never played X-2. Im tempted to pick this up for PS4 but damn there is too much to play. Especially with Witcher 3 days away, I might delay instabuying this.
What the fuck is wrong with this game? I am severely punished for not studying up on everything about this game. Lost out on a lot of crap, and honestly can't be arsed with 20 hours of faming for this and that. You die and have to watch sluggish logos and 5 minutes of cutscenes and then walk back to the boss. And i will not for the life of me figure out how people so easily max out their grids. I am in sin and about to fight jecht and i have 2 rings left to fill out with 2 characters
(and I'm astounded people are STILL talking about this as if it was ever an unknown.. I knew, as did everyone I know personally, it was always MEANT to be a fake, terrible, bad, forced laugh.. even the Japanese VA did the SAME THING)
I know. Mind=Blown. I'm a Tie-dus guy through and through and even now, 15 years later and several official confirmations, I can't bring myself to switch to Tee-dus.

Because people just want a reason to hate on X, which many consider the turning point for the terribleness the series became (streamlined paths, no overworld map) -- fuck them though, X was and is and always will be my top3 favourite FF title. It's coming to PC too \o/
Should I wait for the pc version? So far I ignored every pc version because they seemed to suck somehow. And I did only recently played FF 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, (12 close to end), 13
In my experience they have fucked up every release so far...
I mean there are modern ports of 4,5,6 or something, but I chose the psp or some modded gba version where they tried to correct the music. From some reason I dont feel confident about X. Is there a release date?
So far it seems like VII, VIII and XIII-LR are the only ones that they haven't truly fucked up. III/IV/V/VI are lousy mobile ports and the first two XIII titles are terribly ported -- oh and no release date yet, not even an official confirmation, just entries in the SteamDB that were discovered months ago and recently updated a few weeks back.
They haven't fucked up VII and VIII? For midi music alone it deserves to be burned
And XIII didn't run well at all and only with GeDoSaTo and I've just started XIII-2, but due to performance alone Im not going to play that crap.
Im not going to hold my breath for the next pc port. FFXV is a differnet story of course
