Well alright, tried it out, and wow...what a nice difference.

Tried some games I knew I could easily run over 120FPS (cod, cs, and the difference is definitely there...) Even far cry 3@ at around 80-90FPS was a nice difference, haven't really had time to try more stuff and mess around with it, but I plan on doing that all weekend.

The difference between my last monitor and this one was huge, but holy fucking shit batman the brightness is insane, I feel like I'm staring into the sun here. Need to mess with more calibration settings when I get home today.

Overall, I'm happy with it Smile

Ya, I'll give those a shot, I just didn't feel like fiddling with the ICC profile from TFT central.

It is easy to setup and kinda required for better colors I think, the screen looked a bit off for me atleast without the ICC Profile.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this but there is this feature available on recent 120/144 Hz monitors called LightBoost (second gen) which when used in 2D mode allows you to significantly reduce motion blur at 120 Hz. http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/

Requires NVidia GPU unfortunately Sad

And it basicly removes the motion blur/latency completely.

IPS being better is very subjective to the user..

IPS Panels generally have better color reproduction and contrast. Judging from personal experience and reviews (prad.de).

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Doesn't mean everyone values such a thing, it is pretty useless when it comes to gaming, especially FPS games compared to 120Hz which shines especially in fast paced games.

I don't want a monitor that shines... it's distracting! Especially in fast paced games.
