Bought a Asus PB278Q today, its a 27" LCD @ 2560x1440 (€ 500). Quite a difference to my 1920 27" Samsung. The 30" is at least € 440,- more and its only 3" taller... doesnt make that much sense imho. Except if you dont care about money Razz

Yeah, 1080p became standard because the ps3 renders 1080p games so beauteafuieaelly on screen Laughing

As if the new consoles with their graphic chips will support anything but clips and images at 4K Very Happy

Didn't know where to post this, looks really nice but it's probably going to be really expensive as well. Very Happy
(No idea what "Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO)" actually is though.)

IGZO is a new technology for TFT from Sharp. Summarised it conducts better, which makes it possible to either have smaller pixels or increase response time Smile

All the high-end displays will be IGZO in the foreseeable future Wink

Yeah it's a pretty good technology, I'm curious to see it in action for myself. I'm not sure if Sharp are able to produce it in very high volumes yet, but it's definitely the hot new thing. For mobile devices it means they could produce the same displays as now at lower power consumption, for desktop it means higher resolutions and/or better response times.
