Hardly. Default skin may be shit, but not as shit as either of those. Its indexing ability is much better and faster than either. Even Winamp 5 isn't anywhere near the resource hog iTunes is. It may not be as lean as Foobar, but it's nowhere near as bad as WMP and iTunes.

I use the latest Winamp for the most part.
Tried foobar quite a while back, didn't quite liked how it looked or worked...
Apparently you can get exactly what you need if you start using plug-ins and skins, but it seemed like too much hassle if all I wanted to do was to play some tracks on my PC.

I'm trying Clementine but it only ran once, after I added the library directories and playlists, it doesn't even run, it gives a runtime error before opening the GUI.

Winamp 5.662 with the MMD3 skin. Light weight (comparatively speaking), and I love the visualization plugins.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Having tried both Foobar and Clementine both in my opinion have good and bad points.
Foobar is so adaptable but Clementine looks better, however both have a facility that I would like to have in one player
Foobar allows you to copy a track and paste it elsewhere (great for a huge collection where you want to pick the best tracks) but will not allow you to physically delete tracks from your HD
Clementine allows you to physically delete track from your HD but not copy/paste
Does anything do both of these functions?

I'm using Boom Audio Player. It was made by Foobar developer, Peter Pawlowski.
It is a minimalistic player. Nothing fancy.

Rajioamp 2k (purple version)! It says published in 2006 but thats incorrect. Anyways this skin has kept me happy for over 10 years and I still use it until this very day <3
