What a big disappointment it was... The way it works is far from what I thought it would feel...
I came out of the store with an N81 8GB, and I´m happy |
For what i have seen the iphone may be a great device for the common man, but for us powerusers it just doesn't pack enough. Maybe the app store can offer some extra's, but who wants to pay $5,- for a flashlight tool that just turns your screen white?

Got one of these yesterday and I must say its the best bit of kit I've ever bought! Seriously! I've owned a number of PDA's and WM based phone devices and non of them have come close to this thing..
I cant stand apple, but this product is worth buying. The first gen version was possibly the most irritating device ever conceived but hats of to apple to making this realisation and fixing the issues.
Now to decide if I should bother jail breaking it! There are loads of apps I would love on the thing but dont really want to pay for.. Any thoughts? what are the benefits of jail breaking it?

Lately all i heard are ppl bitching their iphone always crashing, saying its the 2.0 firmware problem. Everytime there a new firmware you have to jail break it again, so its really up to you.
The SE X1 is going to be about $1,000 but still going to buy it
haven't had any problem with any SE product yet while Apple always have to refund their crap or send in for repairs
I would recommend the Samsung i900 Omnia than an iphone 3g, the spec is better:
- 128 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM
- 624MHz Marvell PXA312 processor
- 8 GB/16 GB internal memory
TFT touchscreen, 256K colors (65K effective)
Size 240 x 400 pixels, 3.2 inches
Battery: Standard battery, Li-Ion 1440 mAh
Camera: 5 MP, 2592х1944 pixels, autofocus, image stabiliser, video, flash; secondary videocall camera
- Built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support
- Java MIDP 2.0
- FM Radio with RDS
- Pocket Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PDF viewer)
- MP3/AAC/AAC+/WMA/OGG/AMR player
- DivX/XviD/WMV/MP4 player
- TV Out
- Voice memo
- Built-in handsfree
OS: Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional (Free downable app)
come with 8 gig or 16 gig
Price: same as iphone 3g about $680 to $740 depend if its 8gig or 16gig

My wife bought me an iPhone. 2 days later, i gave her the iPhone and bought the Fuze (HTC Touch Pro Replacement).
iPhone was ok and all. But my phone can do freaking anything I want it to.
My wife loves her new iPhone for what it's worth.

The iphone is awesome after updating to 2.2, and then jailbreaking.
Jailbreak takes like 20 minutes the first time, and once you have all the software and know how to do it it will take 5-10 mins to jailbreak after updating to a new fw.
Once you jailbreak you can downlad this app called "Installous". That app is like a pirate appstore where you can download almost all the apple store apps for free, thanks to rapishare and such. It just opens safari on of those sites.
Also you can sim unlock just by downloading "yellowsn0w".
And if you download bitesms from cydia you can have widescreen keyboard wich makes the buttons and the spaces in between them bigger.
To make it easy for you guy here are the links.
