I still would like to see new users unable to create topics until they make x amount of posts. Seen it at many sites and works great. On Daemons forum all posts from new users are moderated so they dont show until mod approves them.

I dont post much, but mods have my approval on this. It is annoying whan new relases comes out to read all those spams about .... you know what i mean.

Y'know, I think long time members should get temp bans for acting out against newbs who don't know any better. If someone is requesting then yeah rip them a new one, but when they're asking questions no matter if they didn't read an existing and created a new one or not. I mean shit happens. Why do you have to show off you’re part of a community by insulting someone with less than 100 posts? We all were there with a <100 post count. We call made it here.
I vote no. (though I cant) Locking off the forum simply because new releases are coming? So fucking what? Mods deal with this shit. Constantly. If you're on this site 24/7 and it really does bother you, then go do something else. Seriously. It takes mods about around 10/15 min to remove a duplicate post. If you can't handle a clone for 10/15 minutes then... fuck... I dunno what to say. Grow up?
If a thread is duplicated we already know which one we're to post in. One with recent activity or one with most activity. It doesn't cause any confusions or anything. It's just bull shit this idea.
What's next? Get rid off all the mods cause we can pretend we know how to behave like civil people for 3 days?
By all means if it's causing bandwidth issues with the server and the site and what other internet mumbo jumbo i dunno about then yeah, lock off new users, but if it's totally innocent and causes no problems except for the impatient members of this board... then why waste time on it?
