You need to get far enough in the game to be able to buy clothes then just pick none for the bra.

Once activated and ran once under VPN, it is no longer required. It runs just fine from the .exe file with the correct steam_appid.txt file in place (206420) Wink

VPN will be needed if any updates are required in future, but that's no hassle to do Smile

it's funny because yesterday i've used a hair drier on full power to remove the dust from my Rig (opened grinhurt) and once i played the game again Fraps was telling me that the game was running at 55-80FPS but the game was going worse than that

Uninstalled the nVidia drivers 100% ,with a restart for each component (nVidia...Y U NO PUT ALL-IN-ONE UNINSTALLER? Y U No???? ,then reinstall the drivers...game runs smoothly again

Are You Serious I don't understand...

Anyways,still saving people...lacks of ammo

Once you reach level 50 and unlock the last ammo upgrades none of the guns will need ammo again. Smile
(I've no idea how I managed it but I passed 50 and am currently at 52, unless 52 is the actual max but upgrades stop at 50)

There's a "clean install" option in the nVidia driver installer, at least when choosing to do a custom install.

Yeah, just hit that myself. Tried the SMG trick and still got stuck on the endless loading screen. Edit: 3rd time's the charm it seems. Using only SMGs from the start of the mission I eventually got past the loading bug.

Finally started playing last night after finishing sr3.

Loving it. Everything seems to be improved. Music is a lot better, graphics have improved a tiny bit.
Powers and new activities are awesome.
Love how they incorporated mechanics from all sandbox city games into 1.

Fun is the main word.

Just finished it. I'm still ruminating over it, but my general impression after 20-odd hours is that the game is really hurt by an over-reliance on "diversion" mini-games as core content. It was to be expected that a DLC stretched to a full game was going to suffer from some padding issues, but jesus, they really went the extra mile to pad it out the ass. While most of the side-missions aren't mandatory to progress the plot, they gate half the weapons and powers behind them, which pretty much makes doing at least some a necessity. It's a shame, as the overarching conceit is a good one. The open world formula is a little stale, and the super powers schick nicely shakes things up. Plus there were some genuinely funny bits during certain missions, which I won't mention to avoid spoilers. It kind of starts to drag a bit though when you are doing your 10th race/store hack/virus upload/etc.

One thing I am actually surprised at is that they didn't do some more overt Mass Effect references. There were plenty of small winks, but it was fairly subtle. The reason I am surprised is because, watching the credits, I noticed that they had both Ali Hillis (Liara) and Courtney Taylor (Jack) doing voicework for them. You'd think that would have been the prefect opportunity to get either (or both) of those two to make some sort of cameo.

I did tried before the "Clean install" while installing newer drivers (by just checking Physx and Audio HD,the 3D is unticked) ,BUT whenever i do that the screen goes black into "No DVI signal detected!" mode, and the PC stays on but the monitor doesn't comes back again...

I'm forced to restart the PC,uninstall the drivers manually, then get them on again

Today i got the same Event Visor error from previous times with this GPU ,wich started to react to them in the last 2 weeks ,wich you can find my problem here http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2277930#2277930

Hope that helps

While i do enjoy the references to other games and movies, there is SOOOOO many of them it kinda loses its value a bit.

Always loved Saints Row, i have so many hours in SR2 and SR3 it's silly, this is no exception so far.

As DCB said, it does smell of the DLC stretched to be a full game with all the minigames, it's annoying they have put the good stuff into those. I just loooove my dubstep gun.

Man, this game is fucking awesome. All the jumping and flying, it should feel as if I just typed IDKFA but instead it is so much fun that I really dont care and just enjoy the hours I spend with the game. Its a whole different way that I normally like my games though (rpgs mostly) And i do not see how as a guy you can play this game as a guy char. You can make a smoking hot chick and watch her ass move in slomo while she is rocking dual submachine guns! Laughing

Yes a hot bitch with that dual Terminator machineguns Me Gusta

I just finished it after around 21 hours with 87% completion according to the savegame. Steam says 31 hours.
The best part of this game are defininately the story missions and the dialogues between the characters for me. Also some side missions (mainly the loyality ones i think) were great too with many references to other movies or games.
The minigames are pretty much the same as before. But which sucks is, you need to do them if you want upgrades of your powers or weapons.

I will still give it a 9/10, mainly to fun i had in most missions and the dialogue Very Happy

two things

1: just noticed that it got a 20 dollar price drop in nz/au (or around that)... kinda funny how preorder was 70, but BAM lol fuck you, its now 50, if only you waited a couple of days after release, sucka'z!!

2:

i fucking SWEAR im playing a different game from the rest of you... and everyone else on the planet i guess. im seeing so much praise for this game like its the best game evarrr... but honestly? not feelin it.

i ENJOY it, yes... and i do laugh at some of the scenarios.. but i just dont feel this game ever deserved to be a full game of its own right. it just feels lazy. its the same city with a couple of new textures and perma-night... its the same stores... seriously, so many of the clothing and tattos and piercings.. theyre all the same.... YES theres new gun models, and some cool new special weapons, and some new vehicles, and ok the whole 'super powers' thing, but this isnt what i was hoping for - it just feels EXACTLY like what it was supposed to be - an expansion, not a complete new experience.

also the main missions... some of them are funny, but im actually struggling to remember some of them or even what i LIKED about them... i did some digital tank shooting, and bike racing, which was ho-hum... fought my way through a plane like i did in sr3... defended a little robot thing... did a FUCKLOAD of minigames.. and stomped around in a mech for a while...

fun experience, yes, but it actually feels really hollow, insubstantial, and has that BEEN-THERE-DONE-THAT feel to me.. game is pretty much a bunch of lol-ideas stitched together on the bones of sr3.

but again, YES its fun to stomp around the shoot things, but at the end of the day, its just a full priced expansion, with very little extra to justify it over the excellent saints row 3... and BECAUSE i was expecting a full new game (as promised), im actually feeling pretty let down by how samey it is. AT LEAST give me a whole new ENTIRE wardrobe and character customisation set to play with, not pretty much the exact same stuff!!!

to clarify, NOT bitching that its the same kind of game, or plays the same, as sr3.. just saying my issue is not how it plays, but rather than its pretty much the exact same content of sr3 with a few additions and some new minigames and a handful of missions.

It was intended as a cash-in to try and bail THQ out of bankruptcy, once they realised how well SR3 was selling. Adding too much extra stuff would have reduced their profit margin and taken too much time. I actually wonder whether what we ended up with was only as good as it was because Volition dragged their feet. Surely THQ management would have wanted it out 12 months ago. If you think it's bad now, imagine what that would have been like.

You want to join our club, you know it

I only play girls in games that give you the choice when they have a distinctive gameplay related quality than I'm interested in. I leave the cosmetic reasons to the horny kids

Example: Borderlands 2. Love the phase-walking/shifting ability of the Sirens.

Well.. I am looking at the guys I have to kill or the items, etc. I am not playing the game to jerk off to some virtual girl chararacter you know. Let alone to stare at her ass for 50 hours rather than playing the game. Also your character is representation of what you want to be and how you want to portray yourself in the game. If the game is not RPG or some other class based genre where you have no choice to play as a girl, there's no reason to do it if you are straight.
