That depends on the game. It can be different each time. You need similar media like the group member who created the patched clone used.
Yes then you don't even have to try the burn method. Your only option is the SFCure method.

I'm trying to run Suffering Ties that bind. So maybe there is somthing specific for this game? The kind of media?

I'we tryed the SFCure method, but it's just not working at all. Any other method to run it? Help.

Thank you.

MIRROR'S CLONE work perfekt don't mistake MIRROR & iTWIN they are two different group's and iTWIN'S clones are BAD.

Simply, to burn Trackmania or Cross Racing Champion, Follow the tutorial in the nfo file,.
Use a CDrom burner at 4x speed (not a DVD burner at 8 x speed) like a Plextor is the best and use SONY CD-R Media no prob's work each time.

After burning, don't read this media in a burner because BURNER give the infos to starforce about type of media.
Use your copy in a reader CD orDVD reader and it work same as original.

Remember if you have UNBLACKLISTED the alcohol software their can encounter some problems and you need a proper installation of latest version from this soft. Because this "unblacklisting" you encounter som kind of problems to reinstall Alcohol soft so you must remove their driver manualy and remove all the inscription in registry before you can remake a proper installation.

Well, in fact I have a plextor CD burner, and I use Sony medias. And still I was unable to run the Suffering ties that bind. -> Please insert the original CD.

But I must admit that I have no readers. I have a CD burner a DVD burner and 2 HDD. So it would be impossible even to install one. At the same time I know some friends that have readers but they were also unable to run the game. Some people say you need to del some files to make it work... Never found thses files.

It would have been nice to get this information in the NFO, you need a reader to run the game.

As for Alcohol mounting, using SFclean and SFNightmare unpluging the drives, it never, ever worked for me, for the mirror releases but according to some people you need USB drives or non standart raid controller cards... I don't have these ofcourse to try.

try nero cd/dvd speed program to check if you cd can this speed buts that strange becoz every cd burner can burn at 4x speed

thats not true. http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=255&page=Features look there. it shows it only goes as low as 8x for cd's.
Also i tried it on nother burner that can burn at 4x and suffering 2 still hangs at the disc checking screen. and you CANT delete all of the files that start with sf because some are in use by the system. and they have nothing to do with starforce anyway, they're system file checker files. So it doesnt work.

MiRROR clones is a way to bypass StarForce protection if you a CD-READER, but it will never work on a DVD/CD Burner Sad

Most CD Burners burns at a minimum of 8x. So you are unable to make a correct copy.
Even, you can use SFCure/SFN/W2k3NodeDisabler method for latest games and mini images for older ones.

And, finally, where is the FAMOUS daemon tools 4...

well, if you have a Plextor CD burner it's eazy to bypass the "Starforce Media type checking" (Burner give info CD-RW media incerted to starforce, they are not available from a reader)
Now with Plextor CD burner you have a CD and can found on their the plextools application (or search the last version on plextor main page) install it and use the option "Hide CD-RW media"
Use your burner as reader it work proper but by each reboot you need to reactivate this fonction in plextool's.

Yes this is the subject of this thread "The phisical Clone methode by burning with alcohol", it seam, that's possible by using good hardware and corect settings, tested working gamez Trackmania & CRC by Mirror GRP. but somme other doesn't work to burn.

Now, found you realy they are a performances for a team to make a bad clone image and add it a zip with the common hiding & virtual tool's.

aint workin here
burned with 4x as it was said

however it works in a way with sfcure+sfnightmare
well at least i can start the game, the gameplay is another problem
it couldnt be lagged on 6800 gt 256ram graphics could it, looks like staforce cooked this
even if just move mouse round i get 1-2s freeze after every 1-2s of non freeze and surely thats a sf soup

also nero drivespeed doesnt apply 1x to my alcohol virtual drive, 8x is minnimal that it applyes its settings to, however the gameplay becomes bit smoother but still isnt playable on 8x speed with nerdrivespeed and on LOWEST graphics

edit: ahrm..

I updated my instruction!! (there is a full Russian version in the archive)

-=ENGLISH=-

========================
Preparation:
01. You must have Windows XP with SP2 in order of playing.
02. IDE PCI Controller Drivers MUST be OS STANDARD IDE PCI Drivers.
03. Unpack "SFN_SFCURE_SFDVREM_SFDVUP.rar".
http://rapidshare.de/files/7662984/SFN_SFCURE_SFDVREM_SFDVUP.rar
04. Go to folder: "SFcure 0.3".
05. Run file: "!setup.bat".
06. Agree with adding info the Register.
07. Restart Computer.
08. Run "Alcohol 120%" è enable at the left in "Options - Emulation" two options:
-- Ignore Media Type
-- RMPS (...) Emulation
09. Mount game image - Disk 1.
10. Install the game.
11. After install run file "sfdrvup.exe" from earlier unpacked archive.
12. Turn Off computer..
13. Unplug all cd/dvd IDE cables - UNPLUG MANUALLY!!!
14. Start Computer.
15. Image in "Alcohol 120%" mount by default automatic. If No for you, mount game image.
15. Go to folder: "SFcure 0.3".
16. Run file: "!start.bat".
17. Go to folder: "StarNightmare".
18. Run file: "SFNightmare.exe".
19. Press button: "Disable node" and wait until "Processing..." will disappear in tittle and "Starforce Nightmare" will appear.
20. Close programm: "Starforce Nightmare"..
21. Run the game and play. Disk Protection check must run in a wink (momentary)!!!

========================
After your played the game:
01. Go to folder: "StarNightmare".
02. Run file: "SFNightmare.exe".
03. Press button: "Enable node" and wait until "Processing..." will disappear in tittle and "Starforce Nightmare" will appear.
04. Close programm: "Starforce Nightmare".
05. Go to folder: "SFcure 0.3".
06. Run file: "!stop.bat".

========================
Some Notes:
If you have done all right than the check line in the protection windows will be filed in 1-5 seconds.
If it sticks for more than 5 seconds and more than you done smth wrong.
So here some steps you can try to by pass this situation:

01. Run file: sfdrvrem.exe and Restart Computer when you will be asked.
02. Start your game with StarForce protection.
03. It will ask you to reboot. Do so.
04. Go to folder: "SFcure 0.3".
05. Run file: "!setup.bat".
06. Agree with adding info the Register.
07. Restart Computer.
08. See above points to continue.

========================
Further Hints for Common Problems:

1. If you installed any bus monitoring tool (no matter if IDE or SCSI) such as BusHound you should uninstall it as it may give troubles

2. If launching !start.bat results in a system error such as "System Error .1 Not correct function", do this:
edit boot.ini file that you can find in C: root.
As boot.ini is a hidden file, be sure to set system showing you hidden files.
Edit boot.ini and change:
/NoExecute=OptIn /FastDetect
into:
/Execute=OptIn /FastDetect
Reboot your PC and relaunch !start.bat, and the incompatibility problems should be now solved.

3. You have to virtually mount the game with Alcohol 120% (even if Daemon Tools should work as well)

I create my own config file calculating degree angles of SF Check, and burn CD1.
Then I install the game, insert CD1 in my CD-Reader and play! Very Happy

AOpen DUW1608/ARR DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner
DVD burner write with minimum CD speed 8x that is to speed you need possibility to write 4x on CD.
If Trackmania or Cross Racing doesn't work with your Hardware, than is useless don't make any other perfekt clone burning test's, the Hardware is misfit. Embarassed

You can add 1x speed manually in nero drivespeed for your virtual drives using the options button. Just try it.

The program is BusHound, you're right. At first, SF Disc Check begins with a list of descending values. At one point, the hex values completely steer off to another memory location. That's phase 1. After a few lines of "distant code" (I mean, distant compared to the previous values), a new list of descending values begins, very similar to the previous one. You must do the same thing: when the hex values steer off once again, that's the second phase.

Thank you for your help but I tested the method and it's not working. I have installe the PLEXTOOLS, cheked the enable hide CD-R media for the PLEX burner, used it as a reader and SF is unable to identify the CD as an original. So same problem the game won't start. I have also tried to run the game on an other computer with just a reader, pioneer, and same problem.

I'm more and more convinced that it's not just a question of readers and media types. Like you need some specific controller cards, USB drives etc.
