Talking about movies, these two Swedish films are awesome:

When Darkness Falls:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0782700/

And Let The Right One In (the original, not the U.S. crap):
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/

Also, you mentioned The Promised Land (Bastarden). Watched it two nights ago, it was good. What you really should watch with Mikkelsen in it is Riders of Justice.

I'd always heard about this, but never in detail. Really good movie ImmOO

Nightwatch (1994)

Just finished 4 seasons of The Bridge:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1733785/

I thought it was really good, one of my favourite TV shows easily. Things were a bit too convenient at times (S04), but it's interesting and very different to most shows I've seen. It's a shame Kim Bodnia leaves after S02, I reckon it could have been even better

I started Pagan Peak (Der Pass) since then:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6905756/

It's a similar sort of show, this time bordering Germany / Austria. I'm 1.5 seasons into the 3 seasons available. Pretty good!

Not seen that that 1994 version above (will check it out), I have a feeling this may be an American remake that's also kind of fun:

It is, but the showrunners are just so gutless. When S04 started, I thought, oh cool. This guy's in the SA, this'll be a fresh take. But I know where it's going to go, he's not really in the SA, right? Lo and behold, he's undercover. Of course. ZZZzzzzZZZZzzz

God forbid they have an actual flawed character for once. Something that goes beyond the trivial flaws of not being able to sustain a relationship or not believing in someone. When you watch something like The Sopranos or Breaking Bad, these people you root for are pieces of shit. Human garbage you'd never want to be associated with. Criminals, muderders, people who destroy other people's lives. But for some reason they can never do this in German shows or movies that touch on ~1930s/40s, it's the same thing every time.

It would be refreshing if it were true. Even if it was his downfall. It'd be more interesting than being able to predict exactly what was going to happen every single time. Maybe I watch too much TV and so I notice it more, but seeing the same trend repeat itself over and over is disinteresting. There's a reason certain shows break out from the rest and remain iconic, it's because they're doing something different.

S01 and S02 were easily the best

I've never seen a single Indian movie that was worth watching, and I'm pretty sure this is why:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt28226738

Absolute trash but 2k votes with a user score of 9.5

The trailer for this masterpiece:

I did some reading up on it, and apparently Indians vote en-masse to promote films from their country so that... so they can um... I don't know, actually. Why do they do it?

Any time you search by rating, which is usually what I do on YTS (movie download site), you're gonna get shit in disguise
