Isn't the whole shtick of the show is that Slow Horses are a team of borderline retarded individuals who succeed in spite of their inaptitude by sheer luck and behind the scene machinations of Lamb? You either treat the series as light comedy or you'll get a brain aneurism trying to make sense of it all.
