Uh yes, you realized this now? Never seen the map or played the previous games?

I dont think the pic is accurate. The green region seems to be higher on the map than the orange one yet on the screenshot it seems the other way round.

And I agree that if it is indeed that region, it is relatively small compared to the older TES games.

But whatever. I'm eager to learn in what ways they will manage to fuck up the gameplay and RPG mechanics this time.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Yall getting excited but seeing the direction of their name ips... itll be a multiplayer game with microtransactions ala fo76. Thats the future of bathesda right now. And its for next gen consoles. So ps5 and xbox two.

So... keep expectations low.

Seemingly. It probably has a vast network of sewers

I highly doubt it's MP, they already have MP Elder Scrolls, and obviously now they are doing that to Fallout universe, which is kind of expected. SP still sells..

Given the fan reaction to fo76's online, i firmly believe tes6 will have the same option. Drop into a friends game and do quests together and thatll be the primary dev focus to ensure online is bathesda stable.

Nah, and their online games are always made by some external studio too.. there are no indications that they won't be doing this one themselves. I don't see why they would want to make yet another online TES.. they'll leave that to Elder Scrolls Online II

i thought FO76 was online only MMO too, haven't been too interested reading about it since i read "MP" Wink if it's not even a MMO then i have no idea why people would be interested and why there's no SP mode.

Huh the Bretons went full racist? Eh maybe.
Pfft nah they're doing a retake of Daggerfall and shuffling everything around again.
(Settling their differences in the end and raising Orsinium instead because fuck those non-human orcs, again.)

EDIT: Eh well there was something about the Redguard and Hammerfall against the High Elves and Thalmor after TES:V wasn't there? They won the engagement but are having problems with infighting and I guess Skyrim's various endings are going to be mashed together in some form.

Well political fuckery would also be a return to Daggerfall I guess.

Won't be at E3 (expected, I guess).

New tech: https://www.resetera.com/threads/the-elder-scrolls-vi-first-tease-new-engine-technology.108456/

Quote:
So in today's The Elder Scrolls 25th anniversary celebration panel, the leads at Bethesda Game Studios / Zenimax Online sat down and discussed the past, present and (briefly) the future of The Elder Scrolls franchise. We got our first glimpse at some of the technology that we can expect from BGS's future projects (including Starfield), but more prominently The Elder Scrolls VI. So it seems that they're using a new photogrammetry technology to capture the scenery and make it look more authentic than it their past games, as you can see blow.

Obviously the environment is very reminiscent of Hammerfell, and coupled with the reveal trailer, I think we can put two and two together and pin-point the location of TES VI — either Hammerfell or Ilaic Bay (which is the region that combines both High Rock and Hammerfell). Since Ilaic Bay is home to one The Towers from Tamriel (The Direnni Tower), and said structures have been a key location on most past Elder Scrolls games, I think this is a given.

Quote:
It is also cool to see that BGS will be adapting Quixel megascan technology to their engine, as you can see here, and they have a new renderer/lighting engine implementation from Enlighten Global Illumination middleware tools (which they are testing in Fallout 76 currently, actually). All in all, I'm just glad that BGS is turning around and improving their engine tech. We already knew they were modifying their physics and animation tools for Starfield, but all of this confirms pretty much an entire overhaul of the Creation Engine.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

I can already see Bethesda slapping photogrammetry and global illumination on top of the old bloated Gamebryo à la Pimp my Ride and then trying to pass it off as a new engine Failed Troll

GamesRadar (no idea what kind of game news site it is):

Quote:
Elder Scrolls 6 may be a long way away, but some recent news has us thinking it could be inching closer

Just a few weeks ago, news on the Elder Scrolls 6 front was virtually nonexistent. Then, as we recently reported, a bunch of new job vacancies cropped up on Bethesda's site, leading many to believe that Starfield, the upcoming space RPG, is at or near completion.

What does Starfield's completion have to do with the Elder Scrolls 6? Well, just about everything. Game director Todd Howard has stated that we won't see Elder Scrolls 6 until after Bethesda releases Starfield, which has a fairly wide release window of sometime in 2020 or 2021. If Starfield is nearly finished, then the Elder Scrolls 6 production can get rolling. Add this to our previous report on the company ceasing active development on The Elder Scrolls: Legends, which would potential free up dev space for Elder Scrolls 6, and it seems like we've got the beginnings of a production cycle.

Link to the full article in bold.

My €0.02: they launch starfield this year, FO4 style (trailer and game released on the same year) and the start working full steam ahead on TES6.

But after FO76 I just don't know if we should be looking forward to either Sad

No way they gonna launch Starfield this year. There isn't even a single image of it for now despite they said "it's in development for years". Maybe 2021 but could be even later. And TES6 is gonna wait at least till 2025.

There also wasn't jack shit out about FO4 in 2015 too, and it released that same year.

Yeah, Bethesda have a tendency of going to E3 and showing a trailer, gameplay and release date out of nowhere. But they were saying since the beginning of the development that Starfield is a next-gen title and with the new consoles coming around Christmas 2020, I think they may release it next year.
