Yeah it's the one I would probably get if my monitor were to die suddenly and since I'll probably stay with Team Green mid range cards for the next round so I'd rather have G-Sync. (yet switching to AMD is becoming more tempting with such a limited and overpriced selection of G-Sync displays)
But not even remotely for that price. Closer to 400-500€ it would be a good deal but that is rather unrealistic. Also have to acknowledge that HDR is looming in the future, how much sense does it make to get an 8-bit, standard gamut monitor at such a price these days.
For the games that have problems with 21:9, just use 16:9 with black bars, you get a 24'' 1080 display again. If it has no blb/glow then the black bars aren't very annoying.

HDR gaming is not going to be here fast enough without real 10bit oled panels. There are those new samsung screens just as expensive as that acer but qled technology and bad text sharpness.
Edit: i researched a bit - Acer apparently ghosts a lot.

Pretty much every game has 21:9 support these days (only "cinematic" japanese shit ports seems to not have this), if not then someone has made it work with Flawless Widescreen application (even games like Evil Within). What goes for curved screens, it is awesome at 34" size, it is really that good on ultrawide, flat screen looks so bad at 21:9 (curve also helps shitloads on IPS glow, if you happen to use IPS panel).

OK so let's say I an dropping g-sync and 2k resolutions and accept 21:9 2560 or 1080p at 27''.
There is this one:
ASUS ROG Strix XG27VQ 27-Inch 144Hz Curved. It is AMVA
It's pretty new but it's one of only VA panels with 27/1080 144hz. So it's like mine but bigger and faster... I need to check out some tests for ghosting. It being VA it's probably trash. But then again - I don't only play games, so good contrast would be great

You are complety right. I know You are
The market is so much more complicated with all sync techs and fast framerates than even 2 years ago, when I got my iiyama.
Back then I wanted 24 inch, 1080p display with better black levels than I had on dell IPS(it was also yellow).
First I got Benq gw2480h which was amva, new, not yet reviewed panel. Fantastic uniformity and contrast... But trailing was crazy (and purple).
I returned it after 3 days and got Iiyama, since they just released it's b2 revision which also nobody reviewed but which is using the exact same panel as that Benq.
So I've tried it and uniformity was almost as good. Iiyama's implementation of overdrive is way better and purple trailing was all gone with only some ghosting left. Quite much left but less than terrible Benq.
Not to say that Iiyama is perfect in all other ways - I don't think it looks too good(build quality). Bugs and dust get under the screen sometimes and ghosting is still there. But the contrast and black levels are good and that's what I am looking at when I am a content viewer and I want to immerse in games/media rather than be competitive.
Back to today:
At 24'' consider only 1080p or 2k. Both only with gsync. Without it, even gtx 1080 would have trouble running games at 144hz in future. At this segment, there are only TN panels with gsync. There are no ips or va gsync monitors at 24''. No matter what resolution. And best(out of TN) is probably Dell S2417DG.
At 27'' only 2k matters. And there are just none 2k VA screens with gsync. So that leaves it with 2k IPS or 2k TN at 27'' which there are plenty off... very expensive(even TN like Dell s2716dg).
Overall - fuck Nvidia for not supporting freesync.
Even if I stayed @60hz, 1080p, 24 inch, then there are probably no better monitors than my Iiyama for my needs. Also - shame there are no normal monitors like mine but when gsync. I am doing fine with 60vsync and limiting with rtss at 60 anyway.
That samsung C24FG70/FG73 is still very interesting. It might be the only monitor(60 or 144hz) with better picture quality than mine. It does not have gsync but people say to enable low monitor blur mode which disables sync anyway... It's not that expensive. Maybe I can give it a try. At worst it will be similar to my amva screen but with 144hz and low persistance mode. Frame pacing on this would be so shit probably
Not sure if I want to trouble myself with any of that but thanks for help. I think I have some more insight in fucked monitor industry now

One more thing...
I was leaning towards trying that dell tn or samsung 24cfg73 va but...
How about just 27 inch 2560x1440 ips ? Just normal 60hz. I am always playing with some night lamp in the room so I never view the monitor in all dark room...
There are ips 144hz gaming options like viewsonic xg2703 gs that seem excellent but its just so damn expensive.
But people swear by that dell s2716dg lol. I think 27inch tn would be bad idda...
So maybe normal 27 inch 2k 60hz ips would be good for everythig? Which one? Ips dont ghost too much I think

Given your graphical preferences in the threads, I would without a doubt recommend the 60hz ips option, faster hz etc. backlight strobe / XXX-sync or blur reducing technologies will be absolutely wasted here.
Also to save some serious dollars for excellent quality, (Actually may not be viable for Europeans) import a korean IPS as described here: https://www.monitornerds.com/best-korean-monitors-cheap/. I've seen quite a few of these in person and can vouch that they are the real deal, some savings are staggering like 50%-70% less than real deal with difference being a shitty stand or something you can fix.

What is the best dell ips now? u2717 ?
Last one I had was u2312hm. It was good except for terrible glow. I don't remember it ghosting or anything though...

There is no such thing as good monitors these days, its all pure panel lottery, friend had fight with Dell (he needed to RMA like 5 times hes moinitor until good panel appeared). Its pretty unbeliavable what kind of shit goes through monitor manufacturers "quality control", this doesnt even change after 1000 euro ++ monitors.

Lol i have that monitor, and another 144hz next to it.
The LG has really good color reproduction, but the 75hz feels jittery as fuck, don't buy it for that. Color reproduction is amazing tho.
I've got a 144hz Acer with the TN panel, and while i can definitely feel an improvement when playing most competitive FPS games, the color reproduction is absolute shit, like absolute SHIT.
Pros and Cons, eh. My ultrawide is currently collecting dust tho, as i mostly play on 144hz. It feels amazing for the most part, but i drool when i look over at my girlfriends computer on the 4k 55" tv.

Many of the 75Hz monitors with FreeSync support are skipping frames on Nvidia cards and will only work properly on AMD.
Real 75Hz isn't supposed to be jittery, while not comparable to 100-144Hz, it's still a noticeable improvement from 60Hz. It's 1.25 times the content displayed per second.

Nah I am still kinda considering Dell S2716DG. It's a TN but it reviews great and there is no ips panel lottery... Considering means - just reading posts on overclock.net ... There is like 500 pages topic on this dell alone.

TN, remember to buy strap that you can attach your head and chair, so you cannot move at all, then there is no color shift. Jesus over 600 euros for that kind of garbage.

Even if I would be ok with angles, that tn dell have terrible banding issues and gamma...
Anything else? Maybe some very good normal 60hz 24 1080 or 27 1440p ips? I liked my u2312hm back in the day

Best 24-25 1080 IPS are the HP series with Glossy+AR coating: (improves image clarity and contrast/black levels)
HP Envy 24, 25CW, 25XW, 25er, 25es
Might be hard to come by in Poland though. Maybe you find some retailer that has one of them.
