Today, Ubisoft has outlined what the December title update for Assassin’s Creed Origins will look like, and players should be excited, because they’re in for a lot of new content. According to the company via a brand new blog post on the game, players are in for more challenges this month, including a new difficulty mode, enemy scaling, and more.
The new difficulty mode, called Nightmare mode, will make the game infinitely more tough, with enemies becoming more resilient to damage and also more dangerous. Enemies will also be scaled on lower modes with a new enemy scaling option. When enabled, this option will make the game automatically scale the lower level enemies to your level. This should make the game a bit easier for those who are having trouble with the fights.
The other changes coming this month include:
Nightmare and First Civ pack items will be available in the Heka Chest.
You will also get two new quests:
A new quest introducing Horde mode. The event quest, Here Comes a New Challenger, will introduce you to Horde mode to satisfy your warrior longings. You can prove yourself in the Cyrene arena against unlimited waves of foes. We recommend Level 32 or higher.
A new surprise quest!
This month, players will have the chance to fight the last of the god trio when the warrior goddess Sekhmet comes to the game. For those who have yet to complete the previous two Trial of the Gods, Ubisoft is bringing the other two gods – Anubis and Sobek – back into the game to give players a chance to fight all three. New cosmetic packs are also coming to the store, most of which you can read up on by heading to Ubisoft’s site.
I'm enjoying this game but fuck me, base game + season pass + in-game store!? Assassins Greed alright....
Anyway, haven't had a game in a while that I've been enjoying as much as this. Only level 10 thus far but I guess I'm going all out to get the season pass and some in-game credits tonight.
Playing this on my new 65" 4K/HDR on xbox one x, it's an awesome experience, I still suck at aiming with a stick tho.
Playing on 124" projector screen (PS4 Pro), gotta say it looks really beautiful, but its also due to the awesome setting itself. Will be interesting to see what kind of impact HDR and OLED has on these games.. A massive screen is awesome the first hours, but it wears off and doesnt have a huge impact really.
I like this better than the other ones (havent played all, just tried the first and perhaps 1-2 more in the series).
That way he’ll have the money to buy the console in the first place

Sold my Xbox One the other day. Thanks to Microsoft and their lack of exclusives, there’s only 1 game I want an Xbox for and that’s State of Decay 2 so I intend picking up an Xbox One X by March 2018. And maybe for Player Unknown Battlegrounds which interests me.
Been playing a bit, but not as much as I used to (fulltime job ) im at lvl 27 having a great time, im seeing close to 50% of the map, and must say its not only huge, but also filled with great content. So many quests, and few feels very generic. On my old PS4 it doesn't really run as smooth as I would like, but its not a huge problem.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to get some big updates this month, and Ubisoft has laid out the roadmap that players can expect for the remainder of January.
A new title update will be released in January to add more content to the game. Here’s what you can look forward to:
A new quest to celebrate the arrival of the first expansion, The Hidden Ones
Update to the Heka chests item pool, which adds the items from the Nightmare and First Civilization packs, as well as the Gladiator and Wacky packs to the pool
A new option to sell outfits at weaver shops
The Hidden Ones
January marks the arrival of the first major expansion, The Hidden Ones. In this expansion, Bayek and the Assassins will clash with the Romans, who occupy an all-new region in the game.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Delve into an all-new vast story
A level cap increase from 40 to 45
The Hidden Ones will be available for no additional cost to Season Pass owners
Trials of the Gods
We hope one of your New Year’s resolutions for 2018 is fighting the gods, if you haven’t already! You’ll be able to face two of the deities again this month.
Anubis – January 9–16
Sobek – January 23–30
In-game Store & Ubisoft Club Updates
Almighty Pack – January 16
For Honor Pack – January 30
Assassin's Creed Origins patch lands tomorrow, January 16, adds new quest and map regions.
Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners get a 3GB download.
The Hidden Ones, Ubisoft's upcoming Roman-centric expansion, is set a decade after Origins' finale in two new regions: Sinai and the Valley of the Kings.
You'll see both new regions on the game's map after applying tomorrow's patch, although presumably you'll need to own the expansion to go exploring.
Or not? There's a new introductory quest for The Hidden Ones, Incoming Threat, which will be free for all play. Might that offer a taste of the new areas?
Hundreds of other changes are included in the update, as detailed on Ubisoft's blog. Highlights I spotted: Hippodrome races will be made easier, Heka chests will now feature all the recent cosmetic pack items, and you'll be able to toggle the visibility of inventory items on the Gear menu.
Got the gold edition (has the season pass included) a few weeks ago for $53, seems reasonable as the main game is massive and the 2 dlcs sounds big with new regions.
Can't fucking wait to explore ancient egypt but have to wait for all dlcs to release.
The huge Assassin’s Creed Origins update 1.20 was released today. It adds new quests, readies the game for its first DLC expansion, and adds the ability to “sell-back outfits to the Weaver shops.
In a new trailer released today, the developers have revealed the Almighty Gear Pack, a new downloadable pack that offers some fashionable and dangerous weapons for players to use in their play through.
The Almighty Pack will include a ton of new weapons, including:
Ruler of the Storm (Legendary Sickle Sword)
Nekhbet’s Wing (Legendary Warrior Bow)
Thoth’s Balance Shield (Legendary Shield)
Stick of Bastet (Legendary Scepter)
Bark of Ra (Legendary Spear)
Assassin’s Creed Origins, The Hidden Ones, will launch next week on January 23 across all platforms. The upcoming DLC is set four years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins and will center around the Brotherhood clashing with an occupying Roman force in a new region of the world.
The Hidden Ones DLC will increase the games level cap to 45, allowing players to continue upgrading and customizing their character. Players will also have access to four new Legendary weapons, a new outfit, two new mounts, and multiple new weapons to play with. The Hidden Ones can be purchased separately for $9.99 and will also be available to all season pass owners.
The second DLC storyline, The Curse of the Pharaohs, will release on March 6, 2018, and offer players the ability to travel to Thebes to investigate an ancient curse that is plaguing the region. The Curse of the Pharaohs will increase the level cap to 55 while also introducing new outfits and gear that is themed around classic Egyptian mythology into the game. As is the case with The Hidden Ones, this DLC will also be available to all season pass owners, but can also be purchased separately for $19.99.
The Discovery Tour mode to the game, which allows players of all kinds to free roam around the Egyptian setting of Origins, will release on February 20, 2018 as a free update for all Assassin’s Creed Origins owners.
Assassin’s Creed Origins’ first piece of downloadable content, The Hidden Ones, officially comes out on January 23. However, some players on Xbox One can already play the new content after the game was patched overnight.
“The Hidden Ones expansion was unintentionally made available on Xbox One earlier today for some players before the January 23 release date,”.
Ubisoft will not remove access for players who have already downloaded the DLC and entered the new region in order to “avoid complications with save files.”
New Game Plus (or New Game+, often abbreviated as NG+) is an unlockable video game mode available in some video games that allows the player to start a new game after they finish it at least once, where certain features in NG+ not normally available in a first playthrough are added, and where certain aspects of the finished game affect the newly started game, such as keeping in the new game items or experience gained in the first playthrough.
But yes, by now everyone knows what it means, that's why it's assumed everyone knows it
