Makes sense on the face unlock + finger scan for other purposes, cool!
If I try to read my notifications at the info screen and I hold it up to look at it, does it unlock and switch screens on me? Or does it unlock and I still have to swipe or something?
Well I wanted to close the Discord app, because I wanted to log out of the servers to not be "online" anymore, but Android started spamming the fuck out of my notification center with all the Discord chat messages rolling in. I definitely don't want that. I want closing the app to mean I'm not in the chat anymore. Does that make sense?
It's not a big deal about the Wifi notification, but every time I open the notification tray thing it's always there. Not a huge issue, but I'll try a few troubleshooting ideas on it later.
One red notification was telling me that I had left a Remote Desktop session. But I CLOSED the app with App Switcher, I expect it to close the connection to Remote Desktop. But the Notification was red and wouldn't go away. I had to re-open the app, go back into the session, and "X" it out, then close the app to remove the red notification. Annoying :\
Cool I will check those out, thanks for the info again!
EDIT:
I guess the Wifi notification is like.. a thing.. Lot's of articles on it being annoying and ways to deal with it. Oh well, still not a big deal. At least I'm not alone.
Discord app should be all set. I disabled notifications for it, and when closing it, it correctly reports me as offline. All good there.
One crazy problem I am having. Since I just switched from an iPhone to an Android... I have a Fitbit HR Alta, and it can receive text messages from the phone and give a preview. People are sending me iMessages, and they are RECEIVING on my Fitbit, but do not show up AT ALL on the phone. What the hell????

about the imessage thing i really can't say anything. maybe because there is no imessage on android? but how does the fitnessband receive them then???? magic. i really don't know |
Yah that is why it's so confusing. If Android can't receive it, how the hell can it still be sent to my FitBit via the link to the phone?!
Can't be anything left over from the iPhone, the FitBit app is deleted, and the phone is completely turned off.
So weird!
EDIT: Man the fingerprint reader is really pissing me off. My fingers are clean, dry, the phone is clean... I have the max number of allowed fingerprints in there for a SINGLE FINGER, and I can rarely get a successful scan.
Pretty much the single most obnoxious thing so far.
