I watched this over the last couple days and it really is nothing special. It was pretty generic but having the Tom Clancy and Jack Ryan names attached will get people to watch it. They are really going to have step up their game for season 2 if they want this to last beyond that.

I'm halfway through it, I'd say it's one of those shows that don't excel at anything in particular but still classify as watchable if one is looking for standard watch 'n forget Calancyroutine. The writing so far is pretty straightforward, there are clichès, deja-vu effects and signature happenstances, though the acting is serviceable (none of the characters come off as annoying), the 'Murican cringe levels are in check and the pacing-action combo works for what it is.
