Everything you picked is perfectly great for a gaming rig... As said i7 K series would go well with the board, I have same board type although its a gaming pro version, just few more options on it etc.

I can't see anything wrong in what you picked out for an upgrade without going nuts.

Dont want to sound like asshole, but you need to get something better than i5 if you are planning to use it like 6 years. i7 and 16GB RAM seems to be trend for these days shit ports, maybe vulcan or DX12 will save ports, but that we will see in 10 years or so. But since you bought all already, its a good build anyway, gz Smile.

im still using a i5 750 (@3.6ghz) bought in 2010 i think. buy nice try. Laughing

Yeah im sure it runs everything flawlessy right now. Not to mention consoles and their weak ass 8-core calculator CPU´s changed engines to be very multithreaded.

well i can play everything. and no not on low settings. Very Happy will upgrade next year, until then i haven't missed anything because everything stil runs very well on it. but keep on pushing that money into intels ass because you can. as long as you think you got a advantage out of it everything is good. very happy that i didn't bought an i7 back then and my next cpu will clearly no i7 too.
