Thanks Bear!
Also, some other questions.
1)I found there is another temp forder which was not there in windows 7. Its windows/softwaredistriibution/downloads. I guess it's safe to just delete it's contents right?
I think it's the same as settings/storage/c:/temporary files. But deleting it from there... is not deleting those files so I just removed it manually.
2)SEcond question is about ms toolkit. I never used the tool and I understand it creates spoof kms in windows/autokms.
How can I monitor how many processes it is running? I have clicked ez-activator few times and I wonder if it stacks? Also, is it rearming itself each 45 days?
edit: Ok I see it's not running any processes full time. Only once per startup.. at least that's waht I get from log files in autokms folder

I have a tiny question:
Is there any tweaking program that lets you choose multiple options to tweak out (check boxes) and, once you're ready to apply them, instead of doing so, you can see aaaaaaaaaaall that fucking config you've done and EXPORT IT INTO A FILE so incase you format W10 or something, you can then import such file to not waste any time re-checking everything out?
A Time saver i mean..

That doesn't helps and makes no sense. We're talking about if any typical W10 tweaking program (Listed in this thread) could have an "Export settings (From the Tweak program)" related to the checkboxes or options that you've chosen to tweak W10, so that once you're ready to apply such config, instead of applying it already, you choose that export option so, incase something happens to W10 and having to use the restore system whatever, you use the exported file and import it back to the tweaker, saving you minutes and effort to repeaaaat it all

If I'm correct, I'm sure O&O Shutup lets you export/import the tweaks.

Does xbox app matters and runs its dvr feature in background even if I dont have an account logged into the app?
Does game bar matter and does any of that stuff eat up framerate somewhere?
Also, how to start up a service start? Logitech gaming software takes a while to load after windows boots and dpi kicks in. It still reasonably fast but much longer than anything on that pc. It is already set to automatic in services.msc

Not even sure what those are, where do you see them at? I haven't seen anything like that on my install that I know of.
Edit:
Wait..
Are they both app things, or just the xbox one? Maybe because I uninstalled all the 'app' things right after I installed.

its the xbox app that you can use for streaming or capture, it actually works funny enough and the whole app is pretty well put together.
window key and G or something and G if i recall to open it up. for features and options you have to sign in though I believe.

Ah might be why, first thing I did after turning off UAC was figure out how to remove as many apps as possible. Win-G does nothing for me

And how do we know that these tweaks won't lose effect after Windows decides to reenable the stuff?

Do you mean that if you disable stuff and restart the PC, then rerun the tool ... you can't see what is currently enabled or disabled?

it's safe yes, but not sure if win10 store games will work without it, if you plan on buying gears of lol there.
and once you uninstall it, the only way to reinstall it is to reinstall all apps.

that all depends on how anal you are. I disabled win defender and forced updates via gpedit.msc, and turned off the 2-3 telemetry services as per the tweakhound win10 guide.
Used the onedrive removal bat, and powershell to remove a few of the OS bundled apps that I never use, like xbox app, money app and such.
the memory management in win10 is a huge step up from previous versions, and most of the tweaks you do will be placebo at best, and will butcher your OS install leading to random issues at some point, at worst.

I'm only concerned about the privacy things, the rest doesn't matter. Whether the PC boots a nanosecond faster or not does not concern me. I'll do the things you mention, thanks.

For privacy, I suggest you wait for more input from others. I personally only disable call back features via control panel and app preferences + the 2-3 telemetry services, so I don't have any experience with any of the third party apps that do the extra legwork.

@scaramonga: I'm going to upgrade today, nice list. Is that a settings menu in Win10 or is it an external app? Any reason why you disabled Windows Defender?
Isn't it possible to disable automatic updates in Windows itself?
@Drowning_witch: I saw that, but I thought something might be wrong with the setting in Win10 since he uses a script for it.

Green is disabled, red not I use Defender, as I see no problem with it and refuse to install third-party AV shit.
Its O&O Shutup 10 buddy, easy to use, reversible, and can save and import settings, oh, and free

yes i use that too. i like it the most, probably because it's from O&O.
Most the other tools have almost the same options and gui but i rather have this from a "bigger" company then something (maybe) shady.

If you wanna update manually, then here is script & files to do so. Not my work, but it's all configured to use as is, and I use it daily.
1. Extract files to C:\. You will then have a folder called 'Windows Update'.
2. WIN key + R and go to services by typing 'services.msc', enter.
3. Disable 'Windows Update' service.
4. Go to the 'Windows Update' folder you extracted and right click on 'Update.bat', send to desktop. (this will create a shortcut of it for easy use, on desktop, lol)
5. I like to be neat, so let's give it an icon. Right click on desktop shortcut, rename to whatever you want, like 'update', lol. Right click again, and select 'properties', click 'change icon' and browse to the 'windows update' directory created on C:\. Select wumt_x64, and set that icon for shortcut. Done.
Here is mine on desktop, of course, once done, one can pin to start or taskbar if one wishes
6. Now, whenever you wish to update, run the shortcut, following the instructions carefully (it's easy after you have done it a couple of times).
Once setup, it will do this:
Run a script starting the windows update service, then it will run minitool. Use this tool to check for updates, install, hide etc. Once done, close minitool, then the script will disable the windows update service, and your done Lifesaver!
Grab it here:
