Well..that was disappointing and out of character.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
was ok and expected, maybe a little rushed and not how it happened, but sad that its over though, mch as dexter is one of the best matches and great character even when the show was at its lowest.
it could have been done at a larger scale though, going back to miami and see everyone...
no more lumberjack memes
big announcement tomorrow so i guess a new season with dexter in debs role? it just wouldnt be the same
IT was horrendous and idiotic...Angela making connections, meeting Batista, him telling her about Harrison, she finding out about Dexter, about BHB in a few days or whatever...ok...
But the last episode?? Rushed, unfinished, nonsensical...
Too many sloppy resolutions, characters rewriting their own behavioural patterns on the spot just to give a more "poignant" feel to the ending, and the underlying sensation of watching things being rushed. It was actually the correct conclusion this time around, but the way it was achieved felt rather illogical and cheap. The Derp Passenger once again just couldn't keep its pear-y needs in check..what a shame(tm)
ever since harrison learned about the dark passanger dexters behavior changed, he seemed cocky or something. the voice of reason deb showd less and less so i guess the dark passanger took over, then at the end he realising that and wanted to die, when harrison said open your eyes and him seeing the flashback it was like him on the kill table where the victims see what theyve done
my brain was soooo dissapointed with this finale it gave me a nightmare last night of a superscary supervillain serial killer harvesting half of peoples faces and using them as living furniture , thats what this series needed, not this santaclaus
I'm keeping myself from reading the latest comments to not spoil it for me before I start watching the new season, but I just saw this on IMDb oh dear...
Realy???

Yep, just retarded.
Spoiler:
The coroner somehow missed the bigass needle mark on the dead guys neck and it was all downhill from there

Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhh...

Damn the original ending is good now haha
Fuck no
Last few seasons and the original ending were beyond retarded.
This season was a bit uneven but I like the ending much much better than the original garbage that aired back in the day.
And I'm glad that it's seemingly over and out.
Still, what was the point of the super rich travels to town on his helicopter guy? To just set up the chief's daughter as a tree-hugger? They could have done something with that guy too, maybe have another killer around... meh
It's (hopefully) finally over, just let this die now.

They ruined a very good season with this ending.
It blows up the internet with bad reviews.. I can't believe they are this stupid with an ending like that.
Not just how the stupid ending happened but so many things were wrong with this season that I wish I could forget it even existed. I mean it's in the DNA of the show for convenient things to happen but the writing in this one made no attempt to even justify it or have it make sense

That was me also ... i was thinking suuuurely isnt that BAD ... well i actually prefer the original 2013 ending
This was generally lazy (-ly written) as hell even though still very entertaining, mainly because of Michael C. Hall's awesome performance (as usual in the series) and the unapologetic violence. Clancy Brown was great as well
I watched all 10 episodes in less than a week which is rare for me to do, goes to show that it managed to kept me interested with a few great episodes (that still suffered from moments of lazy writing).
The finale was the apex of the mentioned laziness but still much much better than the previous series finale

Finally, after ~10years on this thread we agree

Wall Street Journal reports, “The network has ordered an origin-story prequel to Dexter, a serial-killer drama that dates back to 2006. Showtime is also exploring separate spinoffs based on the back stories of compelling Dexter characters, including the Trinity Killer.”
“The origin story will be set in Dexter’s hometown of Miami, and will touch on stories of real-life serial killers of the time period,” the site’s report continues.
UPDATE: The prequel series is officially titled “Dexter: Origins.”
“Dexter: Origins” will dramatize young Dexter Morgan at the outset of his transition into the avenging serial killer he would become. Set in the Miami that was a hotbed of real serial killers of his time, the show will begin as Dexter graduates college to join Miami Metro, where he meets younger versions of many of the characters we came to know in the original show.
And, of course, the show will also focus on Dexter’s family, including a very-much-alive Harry and a very formidable, teenage Deb.
As for “Dexter: New Blood,” last year’s hit revival series, it had been reported last week that the series would not be returning for a second season. But it seems that report was incorrect.
The network has announced this afternoon that they’re also developing a new version of “Dexter: New Blood,” which depicts the ongoing emergence of Dexter’s son Harrison.
The drama focuses on Dexter’s son Harrison, who survived his tumultuous reintroduction with his father and flees to New York City where he must wrestle with his own violent nature and whether, like his father, he too is compelled to kill. “New Blood” will explore the kinds of themes and scenarios seen in the original series on Showtime but through a new lens.
“Dexter: New Blood” became the most-watched series in Showtime history last year, averaging over 8 million viewers weekly across platforms. It sounds like Showtime wants to use that success as the launching point for a full-on “Dexter” universe. Stay tuned for more.
Very few shows get a second chance to redeem themselves, but Dexter miraculously did..only to ruin everything again. And now it just rubs salt into the wound whilst bringing that long trolling session to a whole new level of patheticness
