As we ourselves are the product of the simulation, we can never break out of it. Hence why we experience 'simulated' feelings as real, because for us, it is.
Btw, I remember an article that claims it was mathematically proven that our universe is actually a hologram, on the edge of a giant black hole?
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Only thing I can think of close to that is a confirmation of: Its theoretically not impossible, as in the math and physics (as known) doesn't break or get violated if you set the variables juuust right to try to reach that conclusion. [Not proven to be highly probable, just not proven to be completely impossible with the right criteria.]
So i think the wording is wrong, its not that it was mathematically proven, it's that it was shown not to be mathematically impossible.
Just like it's not mathematically impossible there is a, down to the atom, exact clone of you floating in the middle of space somewhere that just happen to collect as particles in juuust the right order. It violates no known laws to deem that a thing that could 'be'.
is that likely? No, but it is possible, technically.
And if you go the route of the universe is infinite, then there is an infinite amount of 'accidental' you spread evenly around the vastness of space. As even if there is a 10 to the negative Googolplex chance of that happening, in infinity that's an infinite amount result.
This is why infinity is a messy, taboo, frowned on result in physics/math. anything with a non-zero chance, no matter how small. also turns into infinity.
(If its fuzzy to understand why that's a problem. Think of this: An infinite grid a man can move on at one square a second. Given unlimited time how many squares will he have covered?[Infinite]. And how many does he have left to cover? [Infinite]. The answers both concur and conflict at the same time..its a non-answer as its framed around needing a time at which to do the count, which never arrives.)
A long way of saying: Saying some abstract thought experiment is shown to be not mathematically impossible, in an infinite universe is a moot point. As everything with a non-zero probability, is possible.

@Fugen I hope papa smurf hasn't been asking for your money.
Do you really think it's hard for them to prove this VR theory?
It's all just a big show.
Yea Nalo, Like all good scientist, duh.
They start a Kickstarter Campaign, raise money and take years doing an experiment to prove the single most important scientific discovery mankind ever knew..all for the dramatic effect and suspense. in reality the experiment is easy peasy.

Stupid assumption therefore stupid assumption therefore stupid assumption explained by a "test" (where are those tests and their results? ) that is designed by me and will explicitly confirm my bias. The only thing simple about that, is your understanding of things But honestly, this is bullshit. He said NOTHING significant, meaningful, logical or interesting at all. This has 0 to do with science and lab equipement, but more with mushrooms and severe head trauma.
What I get out of all his videos:
I cannot explain my results, so I draw my own answer I want and chase the rabbit down the hole in different ways trying to ram that answer down the rabbits throat.
They have already decided that VR is a reality, before even proving the thing they base that assumption on exists.
At this point @Fugen I honestly hope you are a troll. Because otherwise I truly worry for your mental health if you buy this.
And, yes yes he's a 'uber smart nasa guy' but credentials mean nothing without results of claims. Einstein could have said he had pet unicorns. Until he show them I think "Man such a shame an otherwise gifted and bright man as that, also believes such silly things".

Not organized enough to be a cult I don't think.
But Fugen does to me seem the type to use the cliché "I'm not religious, but I'm spiritual" defection to try to distance his beliefs from being obviously dogmatic.

This is getting nowhere, as usual... I am tired of explaining.
So are we...
Post back when the big reveal happens.
Soon™ is growing tiresome, troll or not. Bring new material/evidence of actual use. (Not youtube videos) and we can carry on. Hell even fresh troll material would be fine...just something with at least an ounce of effort other than: The same old boring circular stuff you present saying Soon™.
At this point its like us starting a thread about the second coming of Christ, and just posting daily updates of "Welp, not yet".

It may not be a full, organised cult yet but it's definitely got signs of manipulation imo.
So far it doesn't have enough traction I think to be one. It's just a 'space/technology age' rehash of New Age mumbo jumbo. There is 1001 other versions of it out there already all fighting for the same thin margin of the population that buys into this snake oil of the soul.
