Ghosted to Player
Ghosted to Player is a new option on the Wasted screen that appears under the following criteria:
Player X kills you 3 times within 5 minutes.
You have not damaged Player X during those 3 kills.
This option can be found alongside the Respawn, Passive and One on One Deathmatch options and is triggered via R1/RB and displays as “Go Ghosted to Player X”. Once this option has been selected, you and Player X will be ghosted to each other and each other only for two minutes.
Contact Mission Unlock Update
The Contact Mission unlock system has been updated. Players now have two ways in which Contact Missions can be unlocked to allow for direct launching from the start menu:
Reach the requisite rank for the Mission (This unlocks the Mission for that character slot only).
Play the Mission via an invite (This unlocks the Mission for the whole profile).
Ammu-Nation Wall Re-Organization
Melee, Pistols and Throwable DLC Weapons have been moved from the DLC wall to appropriate cabinets.
The ‘No Shoes’ option is now available in wardrobes.
Players can now launch VIP Work and VIP Challenges when on the deck of their Yacht.
Mouse support for the ‘Move Yacht’ menu has been added.
A free retry has been set up for moving the Yacht when your chosen destination is full. If your Yacht fails to sail to the chosen destination and you’re placed nearby, you will be allowed to sail back there for free when a space becomes available as long as you don’t sail anywhere else.

Up to four teams jump from a Cargobob and parachute to the ground where they attempt to control the ‘drop zone’. The first team to capture the drop zone wins. The time doesn’t have to be continuous. If no team wins in the time limit, sudden death will be triggered.

SecuroServ gameplay has been added to GTA Online Freemode which is available after completing or skipping the tutorial. Features include:
SecuroServ option in the Interaction Menu; here players can choose whether they want to be a VIP or Look for Work (as a Bodyguard). Players need to have over $1 million in savings in order to be able to become a VIP.
VIPs name their Organization on creation and can rename it at a cost from the SecuroServ VIP menu in the Interaction Menu.
VIP Work and VIP Challenges which can be launched by the VIP for their Organization. Some of these will be available for other players and members of rival Organizations from their session to join.
VIP abilities which can be purchased to aid the Organization; these include drops (e.g. Bullshark), vehicles (e.g. Buzzard) and Organization abilities (e.g. Ghost Organization). Individual Organization vehicles will become free to hire if the VIP has already purchased the same type from the vehicle websites and they currently own it.
Ten new high end Stilt Apartments have been added to Dynasty 8 for GTA Online.
Three new customizable high end Penthouse Apartments with a selection of eight interiors have been added to the Dynasty 8 website for GTA Online.
New Galaxy Super Yacht properties are available to purchase from Docktease for GTA Online. The Yacht property does not count towards the property limit and they have a daily utility cost for owning one. The Yacht cannot be sailed; however it can be relocated at a cost to one of twelve locations. Up to three Yachts can be moored at each location at one time. Players are only able to own one Yacht and they have a selection from three models:

An executive jet’s gone down in the wrong part of town. A team of Bodyguards works with their team member, The Target, to rendezvous in the extraction zone and get them to the evac point. Meanwhile, the Hit Squad try to find the Target first and put them down.

Improvements have been made to anti-cheat measures.
Changes have been made to matchmaking to help players find an active Job. Changes include:
A new option, Filter Quick Job Content, has been added to the Online pause menu. Players can choose to filter by: Any, Rockstar Created Only and User Created Only content when launching via Quick Job.
An Alert screen that appears if the player has selected a specific Job or Job type that doesn’t have any active sessions. The player can choose to host that Job or search for any Job in that type or any Job.
Players choosing to Host the Job instead of widening the search will be separated from the general matchmaking. Only other players who have specifically chosen that Job, accepted an invite to that Job, or joined a player already on the Job will join the lobby. This does not occur if the Job was selected from the Next Job Vote Screen.
Players will be able to own a fifth property, allowing potential ownership of up to 50 cars and 15 bicycles.
The eight new interior styles for the Penthouse can be viewed and purchased from the Interaction Menu. This option is only available to players when they are inside their Penthouse.
After purchasing the Galaxy Super Yacht players can modify and upgrade it at a cost from the Docktease website.
Players owning a Yacht will have the Captain added as a Contact. When called he can arrange for a boat, a heli or one of the player’s personal vehicles to be delivered on shore near the Yacht.

If a Job cannot be launched due to unbalanced teams, it will now be forced to launch after 30 seconds where the teams are sorted automatically for Adversary Modes and Versus Missions.
Aim type will no longer be reverted when returning to Freemode from a Job. Players that choose to change their aim type in order to join a Job will now keep this aim type when returning to Freemode after the Job.
The ban alert screen has been updated to now include when the ban will expire.
Benny’s shortcut App in the phone has been removed and has been replaced with the SecuroServ
Players can now use first person cam when changing the interior color of their vehicles while in Benny's Original Motorworks.
Lamar is now an option in Quick GPS in the Interaction Menu for the Lamar Mission triggers.
Vehicle Doors and Vehicle Remote Functions options in the Interaction Menu can no longer be used on personal vehicles while in a garage.
Help text now appears to inform players when Benny’s is closed.

Four new hairstyles have been added to the barber for male and female characters in GTA Online.
Seventeen new tattoos have been added to the Tattoo Parlors for both male and female characters in GTA Online.

New Lamar Contact Missions have been added which unlock at Rank 5.

Offense Defense
Runners aim to be the first to get to the end of a route. Blockers, in faster and more powerful vehicles, must block and run opposing Runners off the road, while protecting their Runner from the other teams.
Keep the Pace
A race where the speed players have to maintain increases each lap. Dropping below the speed causes players to explode.
Relay
A 4 team race around the streets in various locations, in which players take it in turns to complete a lap before tagging a team mate. Non-active drivers wait in the pen to be tagged, whilst active drivers complete a lap for their team.
New Features/Updates – PS4, Xbox One, and PC Only
Players will be able to own a fourth property, allowing potential ownership of up to 40 cars and 12 bicycles.
A new Adversary Mode invite system has been added for Missions:
There is now an increased chance of getting an Adversary Mode invite.
Invites will no longer be sent during Heist progression or following Freemode Events, this new system will be used instead.
Adversary Mode Invites are now Red.
A new option, ‘Destroy Last Place’ has been added to Races:
The Host can set it to be effective each lap, every 15 seconds, every 30 seconds or every 60 seconds, the player in last will be blown up according to the option selected.
The ‘Destroy Last Place’ option is not available for Rally and GTA Team Races.
When 'Destroy Last Place' option is turned on in a playlist it will default to being On for other Races in the playlist.
Several new features have been added to the Interaction Menu:
Ammo
Players can now purchase/ restock their ammo from the interaction menu. A convenience charge will be included in the cost.

Players can now open and close their personal vehicle’s doors.

Players can remotely turn their engine, lights and radio on or off and change radio stations.

Rockstar Editor has been added for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Freemode Events have been added to GTA Online which unlock after completing the tutorial or are available immediately if the tutorial was skipped. New activities are:
Hunt the Beast
Become the Beast – a stronger, faster (and hairier) version of your character - and flee relentless pursuers all over Los Santos and Blaine County.
King of the Castle
An every man for himself turf war where you’ll need to ascend and claim the designated ‘castle’ as your territory – and then fend off everyone else as they go all out to dethrone you.
Hot Property
Grab the briefcase and go! Jump into a car, bike, boat, motorcycle, P-996 Lazer or just run for the hills with the coveted contraband in hand. Be one of the three players who hold the briefcase the longest to score GTA$ and RP bonuses.
Moving Target
The first player to enter a marked vehicle will become the Moving Target, tasked with safely delivering the vehicle to a designated location. While the marked vehicles will be durable, it’ll take some serious elusive finesse to survive other players’ attempts to destroy you before the drop point.
Checkpoint Challenge
Compete with all your Freemode competitors in a mad dash across southern San Andreas. Who will be the first to race or fly through all the designated checkpoints for fame, fortune and reputation.
Kill List and Kill List Competitive
Take control of some of heavy artillery and duke it out with the mercenaries from Merryweather Security. Rack up GTA$ and RP for each kill.
Dead Drop
Fight for possession of valuable contraband and see if you can make the drop first in this ruthless smuggler’s run.
Penned In
When you see the enormous dome appear over the Los Santos skyline, jump into the closest ride and find your way into it before the timer starts. Then, stay within the dome as it begins to move and shrink, smashing and bashing rivals out. Those who are left out of the dome for more than 7 seconds will explode. See if you can be the sole survivor at the very end.
Criminal Damage
Whet your appetite for destruction with all-you-can-eat buffet. Get strapped with a favorite piece of heavy artillery and let loose over a given time period with no wanted level in sight. Wanton destruction is rewarded with every bullet hole and blast. The player with the largest property damage bill who causes the most destruction will win.
Hold the Wheel
A Sanchez, a Golf Cart or another otherwise humble mode of transport is made into an indestructible marked vehicle. Take command of it and avoid all the other jackers and assailants in your session to be the one behind the driver’s seat when time runs out. Try and go for it solo to keep the entire GTA$ award for yourself, or shrewdly partner up with a gunner to ride with you for protection and split the earnings.
Time Trial
Record the fastest time possible, with a new course to master every week that awards you GTA$ and RP for beating our target time or your own personal best - and a championship worthy haul if you can take down the World Record.
Freemode Challenges
Compete in 19 unique Challenges against your Freemode friends and foes. See who can perform the longest jump, who can drive the farthest without crashing, who can fall the longest distance without dying, who can freefall the farthest before pulling their ‘chute – and many other ways to risk your neck to try and be a top 3 finisher for GTA$ and RP rewards.
New Adversary Mode Jobs have been added to GTA Online which unlock at Rank 12.
Hunting Pack
You’re part of a team tasked to deliver a priority vehicle rigged to explode if it drops below a minimum speed, while your opponents race, ram and batter to take it down.
Cross the Line
Heavily-armed squads face off across a neutral zone – with the goal of having all team members strategically penetrate their opponents territory to claim victory.

Players now need to press d-pad left on PS4/Xbox One and “E” on PC to activate a corona while standing in it.
The 'Bookmark Job' option has been removed from the 'Online Leaderboard' screen.

A Friends in Session option has been added to the On Call phone menu in GTA Online. This allows a player to auto invite all friends in session to the Job they are On Call for. Accepting these invites will place their friends On Call too.
Better feedback is now given to hosts and players in a lobby as to what is happening with auto-invites.
The Clothes and Tattoo shop menus have been re-organized. There are now more menu options and the newest items will appear on the top in each category.
The Karin Technical now comes with bulletproof tires when ordered from Pegasus.
Flashing help text is now displayed for non-host players on the Job settings screen if the Criminal Mastermind challenge would reset because of the difficulty setting the host has chosen.
The Crew Challenge playlists have been removed.
Additional methods have been added to complete the "Bribe the Cops and cause havoc" Daily Objective.
Vehicles with topless variants now have the option to add or remove the vehicle roof in Los Santos Customs. Sale prices of these vehicles have been rebalanced in line with this change.
When calling in an Airstrike, a jet range indicator now appears to show how far away the jet is. Once the jet is nearby, the indicator will turn red.
Fixed an issue where award T-shirts were not unlocking properly.
Some weapon rebalancing tweaks have been made based on community feedback. The MG and the Combat MG have increased damage, and the Assault Shotgun is now less effective at longer ranges.
