The core idea is that this universe is the eternal conflict. There's like one demon who actually died in this universe, Mephisto's son, and this was in the books.
Blizzard is doing a very poor job at managing this idea across multiple games. There's always a prophecy and you're supposed to be surprised that the prime evils are coming back. They don't write build ups with pay offs in other games because they just suck at writing nowadays.

There's so little blood and giblets when you kill enemies in this game. They really failed at the most important thing in a diablo game, at least since diablo2.. and that is killing mobs and mobs of enemies and watching them turn into a bloody mass of goo

d3 got a complete rework on many things in its expansion. these d4 exps ... are just glorified seasons with zones they prolly cut from the main game ... they worked so long on it and then some cunt came in and said. chop it into 5 pieces . we got money to farm ... AND ADD A STORE TOO NOW . WE GOTTA MILK BABY
second time they trying to show off scale and giant monsters n stuff but in the actual game there is nothing so big and they cant even showcase giant monsters so good in their shit engine
