What source do you have?

Unfortunately I already ordered all the games I want lol.

The games are not region locked though right so for future reference I could order cheaper from the US and probably earlier than UK releases?

that site you linked, prices are decent only because they have 20% off for games in November.

typical non discounted price for ps4 games is £50-55, that's way more expensive than $60 in US.

Prices direct from PSN USA Headshot. buying 3 x $20 psn cards Smile But i guess it depends on exchange rate given by the card you use. Not done it myself so i don't know yet.

Personally I prefer a retail copy to conserve HDD space Smile

No you don't, since ps4 does a full install of all games.

Killzone on disc will still eat up 35 GB off your hdd the second you boot it up Smile

Kinda like when you load up a torrent, it allocates its size instantly.

The only reason I see physical copies preferable, is for resale value or if you like seeing lots of those boxes lined up Smile

yep, i woud usually always go with retail copies, but with the crazy eu prices for next-gen games, no chance.
paying 45 euro for a game through us psn vs 70 euro for the retail version here is a huge difference.

Let's hope it continues to work on the PS4 and they don't block the purchases in some way. I will still buy physical copies for those games i know i won't keep or play multiplayer.

The question about digital is what you do when you ran out of space? you delete the game and then what? you can download it again at anytime? since game on nextgen are big and PS4 can take maybe 8-12 games.

Yes you download them again anytime and hope you have a good connection.

Took me a day to download nba2k14 on psn (42GB) and my max speed is 1.6MB/S

Yeah I know some games take up a LOT of space (Killzone: Shadowfall) but not all and apparently Assassins Creed IV uses 11MB it says on the back of my game box!

If I downloaded the digital copy that would be 21GB on my HDD ...

Not sure what it says on the box, but AC IV install size on PS4 is same as PSN version - 20GB. ALL ps4 and xbone games always do full install. buying disc you don't save ANY hdd space whatsoever.

yea and since even the content on the disc is basically pkg files like a psn release, its basically the same, meaning that there wont be games like gta 5 that stream from both the disc and hdd, since there is nothing to stream from what is basically an install disc.

that must be some print error, or maybe they write install size required before you can start playing (while install continues in the background). for PS4 games you can't do partial install. it's always full.

thats weird, in the us version it says 20 GB minimum, which was also confirmed by reviewers.
another weird thing is that the uk version above is apparently region-locked, while the us version is region-free:

Huh 11mb could be a typo then! Its a lot less than 20gb lol.

Maybe 11mb is a save file and the game install was not included on the UK game boxes? Confused

maybe the 11 MB are only for the bonus content in that case, there is no way that one version is built completely differently from all the other games, which are basically psn installation files on a disc.

As stated earlier, and considering I have a PS4 so I know what I'm talking about : ALL PS4 games take full size on the HDD.

You buy NBA2K14 on disc, you will lose 40GB, you buy AC4 on disc, you will lose 20GB.

Only good thing about physical is if you like to share or sell discs (instead of selling PSN accounts Razz) and have a terrible internet connection to download games.

But you are missing gamesharing that way Wink

btw how does gamesharing work then on ps4, with the option to declare consoles as primaries for an account etc.

same as PS3 actually, just that it's limited to 1 PS4 instead of 2 PS3 back then.

Also have in mind that once your PS4 is activated, you can deactivate it at will and set another PS4 as primary.

Activated PS4 can then play an account's contents offline.

Any other PS4 (one at a time, only 1 PS4 can be signed on on a PSN account simultaneously) can also play that content as long as signed on on that specific account.

Oh and you can remotely deactivate PS4 from sony's site every 6 months Wink

so wait, lets say i ve got ps4s "a" and "b".
i use my psn account from "b" to install a game to "a",
then i declare "a" as primary console for that account.
in that case i can play the same game on "a" due to being primary console AND on "b" while logged into the psn account i used to get the game?

that's right !

And A can play that same game from any other account as long as A keeps this psn account.

I can confirm my game took up 22GB on my PS4.

Back on topic ...

Im quite enjoying Killzone: Shadowfall. It feels different to previous Killzone games and although linear its not as linear as I expected it to be with its 'complete the objectives in your own order' approach. The constantly spawning enemies make the game surprisingly tough as well. And of course it looks gorgeous! And the PS4 lgihtbar changing colour to show your level of health is nice! Smile

I have no idea what the review sites were smoking then they reviewed this - were they not paid enough money? It's rediculous - this game is fantastic.

It's extremely challenging - you're given a big map, objectives and it's up to you what order you complete them - I've died at least 10 times and each time then approached the situation differently. The gameplay is original and so much better than the previous Killzones. It looks amazing, sounds amazing and plays amazing.

It's a top game, really great - I simply don't understand the scores... Maybe it get's worse in chapter 4+ ??

I do however agree that the FPS drops are not nice and happen a bit too often. But it's my only negative at the moment!
