They need to crank up the gun sounds, and oh those textures
Im wondering if the 5GB patch I installed for the PS4 version affected the gun sounds as I played it last night which was after the patch and the gun sounds were louder and felt beefier. No texture issues here

Wolfenstein: The New Order v1.01
Revision Notes:
- Text and audio bug fixes
- Gameplay bug fixes
- Checkpoint bug fixes
Maybe the crap gun sounds is the 'audio bug fixes'?
90s didnt need AI, they had enemies act aggressively and just run straight at you, often swarming you from all sides.
this here is like some kind of half-assed attempt and bringing AI to a game that doesnt really need it and should rather play like a 90s classic.
I posted my impressions in the PC thread, but needless to say; this is now one of my absolute favourite shooters Magnificent game only marred by some bullshit Tech5 failings.
This game was an absolute cakewalk until I got to chapter 11 with the submarine. I'm now on chapter 12 and the difficulty just ramped up on the Gibralter Bridge! I was stuck for a couple of hours and died loads! I'm liking the sudden challenge though.
One thing that bothers me about this game is that I like to explore to find all the enigma codes but if whilst exploring you wander into a specific area, several times it has triggered a cutscene or the end of the mission and you then cannot return continue exploring :/
I think it looks great on PS4. Just a shame the AI leaves a lot to be desired at times.
The surprisingly excellent Wolfenstein: The New Order is getting a standalone prequel this May. Set before the fall of the Allies, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood will see B.J. Blaskowicz infiltrating Castle Wolfenstein, as he does. It's due out May 5 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is a standalone prequel to the critically acclaimed first-person action-adventure shooter, Wolfenstein: The New Order. The adventure, which spans eight chapters and two interconnected stories, features the hallmarks of MachineGames – thrilling action, immersive story and intense first-person combat. As war hero B.J. Blazkowicz, arm yourself with new weapons such as the bolt-action rifle and grenade-launching Kampfpistole as you attempt to thwart the advancing Nazi war machine, and take advantage of duel-wielding pipes that can be used for wall climbing – or for vicious take-downs of never-before-seen Nazi adversaries.
