You should. This game is a bad experience on PS5. 4k mode is horrible. Feels like its 15 fps. 60 fps mode just lacks too much detail.
If you have a good pc you should indeed wait.
It looks better now and runs smooth enough in patched 60fps mode.
40fps is only good if you have a 40hz TV or a VRR capable TV. Otherwise, the TV will upsample to 60hz and you'll have judder.
Don't know if i have VRR, but i think i might do. Got a Samsung QN95A. Can check later if i think it's improved enough that i'd agree to playing it now being fine if one can wait.

Apparently not played the game since Elden Ring released lol.
So this past week I’ve jumped back into my 20 hour playthrough to finish up the story.
New gameplay from the DLC posted to Twittter got me hyped
i also pretty much stopped when elden ring came out... it's not a bad game, great combat and graphics.. just don't care too much about the rest.
strange decision from them that you must finish up the game before you can play the DLC... it's like 30% who finishes games. I'm certainly not in the group who finishes but still often buys DLC's, but this one is a skip.. though maybe at some point i will finish it (i mean.. there's like a 10% chance...). Amazingly enough I actually did finish the previous game.
actually they never went through with that first "fat"/ugly model we saw of her, which is pretty funny. the backlash was pretty immense when the first images appeared they also never gave any kind of statement about it, from what i know.
i think i would have preferred if she looked stronger, i mean she's physically strong in the game, those arms are not exactly muscular..
Eventually that could be cool when we have actual AI, like it was ran by chat GPT and we just talk to it. Right now NPC buddies is fucking cancer, it has never been fun imo.
How much tagalong is there in this though? I mean at the start there's a forced one, but is there a lot more of that? Haven't ran into it so far.

Well yes, but not to the same degree. Aloy went from pretty to ugly. That face is broken. Lara went from hot to, well still hot just a bit rounder. Maybe more girl next door now though
Anyway, loving the DLC. It improved many aspects of the original game too. Playing performance 60fps mode and graphics are very nice!
I don't have HDMI 2.1 so I can't fully take advantage of the 40fps mode even though my TV supports it. If I run it at 40fps, it looks worse than performance because game scales down to 1080p
