jigsaw was always a baddie and punisher made him worse.
he had a friend in the police force which i think was replaced with the lady cop.
unless they bring him in which would be nice but like... no point cause lady cop.
his computer buddy had a different 'origin' story too if i recall. wasn't aboot govt secrets. he was a hacker hacking and got into shit with the mob.
they changed plenty to fit the punisher mcu character - a more real/grounded character.
origin story is the same ish... famdem got moided and he gets all grr
family got moided by the mob tho which they did allude in the beginning which was weird cause the mob at all wasn't connected to killing his fam. he just went in on a killing spree killing mobsters when it was a military outfit that did it. and he knew it - ish cause it alludes to in his dreams that military kids dressed like him back then when he was all mucho army man
killed his family.

the cia feller had a different story in the comics... frankie went after him cause he was a baddie with war crimes and shit and not because he had his family done did. and not because he was shit at his job.
so you get a flash of the characters they included but they were altered to fit the narrative of this character.
so any story you want in, you have to see how it'll fit inside the world of this punisher.

I stopped keeping up with the Netflix MCU series after the combined disappointment of Iron First and The Defenders. I mean, I was still looking forward to this but saw the RT score and was like "nah, I had enough of these".
Recently, somehow I got the urge to give this a try, and I'm glad I did!
Although the series does take its sweet time to kick into high gear..
The first several episodes, like 5-6 or so, were somewhat boring, I couldn't care less about the political conspiracy, Punisher and Micro were taking ages to team up, there were too few action scenes, too many subplots and what not.
But then, somehow subplots were starting to being resolved, and the pacing became great. Honestly from after ep5-6 or what was it, the pacing from there and on is the best among all the previous MCU Netflix shows. And the acting was pretty great.
So yeah, I enjoyed it quite a bit. This, Daredevil 1 and Jessica Jones 1 (haven't watched 2 yet - it's next) are my favorites of the Netflix MCU shows.

Oh and the amount of bullets that he took in every other episode and kept going was ridiculous. That shit needs to change for S2. He's The Punisher, not The Terminator.

Yeah, it's ridiculous, but I guess it is what it is, i.e. comic book series, rather than a serious drama.
