The should be ok-ish visually, its just that it has severe loading/streaming issues. Optimisation is in the fucking gutters, like really bad!
Going from scene to scene (cinematics to gameplay) takes ages to load, same for menus. And the LOD on textures and meshes is constantly lagg like shit -- think crappy RAGE/UE3 pop-ins. And the lipsync on boss encounters.... my god man!
A shame it's just a halfassed port and the people responsible for this(devs or publisher) didn't do their job, as the x360 could have easily handled a proper version of this. I mean the temps while playing this are at the maximum +2C compared to other games where there's at least a +5C increase in CPU/GPU/RAM temps.
Was hoping to play this on the big screen, but I guess I'll keep on playing this on PC.
I'm assuming you have a desktop but you can still get an HDMI port installed on most desktops and hook it up to your TV with an HDMI cord. Actually now that I think about it it would probably require a new graphic card with HDMI support so it might be kinda costly.
Yeah, thought about it. My curent graphic card has a HDMI slot, but the thing is... well... fucking cables man! >,< I'm tired of them, I just finished routing a few patch cords 2 weeks ago. Don't plan on doing that any time soon, as I'm too lazy to do it again any time soon.
Also I would need a HDMI cable of at least 20m to reach the TV from my desktop. And also, believe it or not, I'm out of HDMI slots on my TV -- I have 3 and all are used by consoles/top boxes and nicely tucked behind the TV.
Yeah, I know, I know... first world problems.

I never finished it, but I enjoyed it. The x360 of WitN is 100x times better than SoM's x360 port.
I understand about the cables they should make wireless HDMI one day. But I also ran out of HDMI spots on my TV and found something on ebay that gives me 3 more slots. It's been about a year since I bought it but I think I paid 5 dollars or less and havent noticed any drop off using the extra hdmi slots.
It also automatically switches to any of the systems that turn on without me having to press any buttons. Another words lets say the hdmi extender is on HDMI 1 I can turn on my Wii U, PS3 or Xbox 360 and turn it to HDMI 1 and any of the 3 will work when on.

Now that sounds like something very useful! I'll look into that, might get one just in case.
It's just time to move on...I gave my x360 away to my brother , it just collects dust..but it served me really , really well.. RGH <3
360 is next to my pc so i don't even need to move and still has games to play, which is hard to tell about these new consoles, all new games are for pc with exception of some exclusives i couldn't care less, maybe in 2-3 years i rent or ask some friend who has one of them masterpieces for couple of month play some sp and move on back to pc
I have hundreds of hours worth of games left that I need to play on my 360, I am no where close to moving on.
true , but Im so out of free time these days...I had to let it go , it really just sits there and collects dust for months now , since I completed GTA V ( on 360 )..it will be put to good use, I have no doubts. RGH ftw !!
Maybe after Bloodborn comes out, or when games start picking up. As it is, there little to nothing I want to play on a new console and can't on PC or even x360/ps3 -- sure Shadow of Mordor tuned out shit on old gen (to be honest most people saw that coming), but Alien, FarCry4 and AC Rogue are fine to play there.
What bothers me though is lazy devs/publisher who still think they should charge full price for crappy halfassed ports of their nextgen games and get away with it.
Finally completed this game on PS4, took me 36 hours for main mission plus lots of side missions (by far not all of them).
I have never seen any LOTR movies, so the story was a bit hard to follow (except for the revenge part) and hard to get into the first couple of hours.
It got better and better and really opened up on the second map (graphically so much better) and when you also get to control Uruks and war chiefs which is awesome.
I started this game with a so so feeling, but got better and better all the time and never got bored upto completion.

I give it an 8 out of 10.
Onto GTA5.
Never seen any of the LOTR?! Do you not even get an urge to watch them after completing Shadow of Mordor?
