the series they have called "Shouldn't be alive" is especially good, been really surprised how amazing the main actor(s) usually are.

Oh it has the Netflix curse. No season 4 or 2 or 3

But its very good. And done really really well.
Strong character development.
Strong writing. Makes stupid boring chess matches interesting and exciting and sometimes intense.

just recently finished The Deuce. Aside from Maggie Gyllenhaal's story (I don't like her dogfaced smile and she gets too much screentime), this story is on par with the Wire. Excellent casting, Amazing cinematography, and what a story ! Season 3 is absolutely on top, and the ending will tear you apart.
