Dodging is a waste of time really, just smash that pokemon as you got 6 pokemons to attack with anyway, you can't really fail in taking a gym, this game is way too biased towards attacking.
Specials you do by holding your mouse on the pokemon, small blue bar fills up under the special bars then.

dodging works, but you have to get the timing right (just when the screen flashes yellow) and the servers are sometimes lagging. but like stige said, just mash the screen. gets it done faster and healing items are abundant anyway

They're already modifying people's accounts that are found cheating. I dunno what kind of system they use but they're doing it.

Mind sending me the APK aswell? My Jolla doesn't officially support Poke Go, I think it's something like 4.1.1 like you said aswell.

yes but it's not the same. if your phone is under android 4.3 you can't even installed it with a "normal" and unedited pokemon apk file. it will always say parsing error.
that is why you have to edit the manifest file from the pokemon apk with apk editor and change the api lvl from 19 to 16 so it will run on 4.1.2 for example.

I stopped playing this at Level 22 last week. Too much effort and time to level up from this point forward

that's what bots are for. when it turns into a brainless grind, might as well automate it. it's even sort of satisfying to look at the bot visualizer map from time to time, in a sense of "awww look how far he's went through half of the city while i've been doing actually meaningful things".
the problem imo is not the effort or time investment, but rather missing motivation. gym fights are a laughable form of pvp, no endgame content. the only point to play right now is keeping up with the neighbourhood kids since getting a full pokedex is more like an (egg) lottery, and that's pretty sad.

Same here I just have no motivation. I was dying to get a Lapras and I now have a 1806CP Lapras that I hatched from a 10km egg. And Im not really aware of bots... How exactly do they work? I have a guy here at my office at work who uses GPS cheats but I never heard of bots

With this kind of game I actually don't get why one would bother with bots like that. Isn't it just better to drop it and play something else when you are bored with it?
