Still has the bullshit crap car models and blacked out cockpits for heaps of the cars. Fuck I hate that shit, I wish it had less cars and did them all right
I'm in National B License now I'm trying to understanding why people like this game , the sanctification to make that precise S turn is amazing, the one which i wanted to see is longer race time most of them finishes in 2-3 mins isn't there a long races also when does the off road and ice race gets unlocked.
Since I'm noob at sim racing is there a simpler way to pick new cars i.e I dont want to go into detail
It's a shame to see that they haven't addressed my main gripes with GT5, and that's the horrible sound effects and the lack of modern premium cars. 1200 cars yeah that's great, but does anyone really care about the whole Daihatsu range or the fucking Toyota Yaris? I really wish they'd focus on at most 250 cars or so, just give us the good stuff and make them all premium.
yea they really need to start from scratch and build 200-300 state of the art car models, no need for 1200 cars when only 20% of these are actually interesting or very unique.
atleast they have much more tracks than in forza, thats a big plus for me, these are games you sink alot of time into, so having twice the amount of tracks is definitely far less repetitive.
u really think they gonna magically deliver premium 1000 cars for ps4, well maybe in 2 years and yeah still sounds like a vacuum cleaner convention
now u need a guide as to which car is premium and which is not in order to avoid black hole of a cockpit?
i pity ppl who actually paid for this

Wait, this game also has premium and shit cars?
Didn't you see that in GT5? It was terrible for it, I remember at launch there was less than 30% "Premium" cars (ie, ones made out of more than 10 polygons and actually had an in-car view with a dash ) compared to non-premium.
yeah but the problem is now u dunno which one is premium and which is ps2, i mean polyfony has no sense whatsoever, personally i will never forget that shit vehicle like vw kubelwagen was premium and veyron was crapaolla
in the beginning of the gt6 when u just starting a new game they ask u to choose which car to buy and then force u to buy some crap honda family car, well at least it's premium again borderline retardation
The circuit graphics are adequate for me, but the cockpit view in GT6 looks absolutely terrible. Nevermind 1080p, just let it run in 720p and get some decent textures in the game!
And the engine sound, dear god the engine sound
Yep, and I swear its better than GT5. Im done with it anyway. Cars I want have shit models and blacked out cockpits. And that garbage sound and the simplified handling make me want to play Forza 4. I do like all the events and tracks it has, but overall the game kinda sucks
Obviously, you don't use a steering wheel like these guys
If I had one, I wouldn't waste it on this piece of garbage.
Just look at the Hueueuaeuaueuueaeuyra video. There's not a single moment (or maybe I missed it) where he loses grip at all. Not when hitting the curbs, not when hitting the throttle too hard coming out of a corner.
It's still as mediocre as GT5. Does that mean it can't be enjoyable to some people? No. But it's not "The Real Driving Simulator". Shift 1+2, GRID and Forza are all way more realistic even though only one of these actually presents itself as a sim (neither Shift nor GRID were ever marketed or portrayed as sims and they're not)
More importantly though, they're more fun. GT5/6 is the dumbest combination of styles ever. They want to market it as a sim, so there's no crazy constant drifting. But then they still want to cater to the casual gamer, which means taking out all the stuff that makes (semi-)sims so much fun: just the fact that you don't lose grip (ever) makes it boring as fuck. Combine that with the horrible, horrible sound, the weak graphics and you're left with a base structure that I'd love to have had in GRID or Shift. Shame that it just has *nothing* to make good use of that structure.
If I compare that to GRID, which is definitely not a sim; but it does have some realism. Hit the throttle hard at the wrong time (hitting a curb, coming out of a turn) and especially with an RWD car your tail will come out. How did Codemasters keep that enjoyable for the casual gamer? By making controlling that slide easy (full throttle, counter steer, done).
Comparing it to Shift (unmodded, with mods it becomes an entirely different -better- game on the PC), that is a little less forgiving on that front. What Shift has that GT5 and 6 lack is the actual racing feeling, the speed, the excitement. Even though it definitely is not a sim just like GRID isn't, that part is something no racing game does as well as it does it.
Forza in turn (I've finally played Forza 4 briefly ) is a lot more realistic out of the box than Shift (in terms of handling and tyre physics anyway, actual rigid body physics are a joke though). The games have different goals, Forza and GT have the same premise and goals. Except Forza gets it right. Looks better, sounds better, handles better. And that's coming from a guy who loves his Shift, pCARS and the various sims (rFactor, NetKar, LFS) to death, has only played F4 for about 45 minutes and hasn't got an Xbox (nor will I ever, not even for Forza). I'm not an Xbox fanboy, never played Forza until a few days ago and yet that short time made me despise what they've done to GT even more. GT 1 and 2 were so great at the time, why not build on that
Edit in before anyone gets funny ideas: IMO. Apart from the handling in this one being shit and definitely not a sim, wheel or not.
