Oh god I so enjoy this game... currently a level 18 pure mage about 20 hours played, and the game just keeps going on and on, it's awesome.

I have a small problem now, since you can only map 4 active spells to the magic menu I can't really use all the spells I would want to, is there a way around this?

I have a protection sphere around me, summon a skeleton and have a healing spell, which only leaves space for one active damage dealing spell which is quite silly with that many to choose from.

Sadly, there's no direct way around this. It would help if you could put them in that radial menu, but for some idiotic reason, you can't (playing on PC, but with a pad). I found out, however, that you can activate sustained abilities and later remove them, and they still work. That helps, but only a little bit.

Anyone know the order you need to put those elven people in the quest "something borrowed"? I keep getting failed. 2 wants to be in the lead, 1 wants to be behind the woman, the woman doesnt want the same guy in front of her, and the last doesn't care. Damn i hate stuff like this :S

Didn't think you could fail that quest, might be a bug... Done 125 quests now, and only failed one... and it was really clear the quest giver said I fucked up the order Laughing

Still on the westside after 38 hours of gaming... this game is so packed with content its almost scary Neutral

Looks like im gonna use more time completing this one than Skyrim...

Thanks, this might at least free up my magic shield slot. and maybe the heal ability won't be needed later on with enough health leech/regen. Still, silly system.

normal of course Wink

What can I say... I don't wander around using time on BS like exploring the map because I know the quests will take me pretty much everywhere (and iv been right so far). Iv been to almost every cave in west faelands.

To be fair, iv just been questing. Iv not spent much time crafting armors and weapons etc. Done it 2-3 times except quests Laughing

Done with 2/3 factions, one quest left on the 3rd.

FUCK FUCK FUCK Sad

God damn quest "Her righteous revenge" bugged it seems like... and after that im not allowed to fast travel. Not even when I go to other regions. Doesn't seem like there is a way to abandon a quest either Sad When I just leave the quest area and save the save freezes :S Iv not encountered any bugs... but when I do it fucks up everything :/

Fuck me... im lvl 32, almost 40 hours in. God fucking damnit!

THERE IS A GOD!
The game wouldn't autosave no matter where I went, but finally when I sailed over to the east coast via main story it saved. PUH! That was some time without saving... I was like "do not die on me xbox!!!"

And headshot, no there is no first person. It doesn't look or feel like oblivion but it has stolen a lot from it.

@cobALT

lol I know that, but the saves wouldn't load. The xbox kept freezing... like I was supposed to finish the side quest. The game didn't even autosave when I went into a town... so thats just fucked :/

It finally autosaved after I got over to the east side of Faelands Smile And now I can save and load as normal without any problems. But I still can't fast travel (it says cannot fast travel from here bla bla bla no matter where I am)... that really sucks. But ill survive

This game must be played on hard, its way too easy on normal.
I turned the difficulty to hard and its much better, still not that hard but better than nothing.

The last boss where way to easy.
But do yourself a favor and play the last part of the game on hard... or else you will be way to overpowered just like the last part of skyrim.
 Spoiler:

Completed it at lvl 36, 47 hours. Im not done playing ofc... the game has 4 factions, and the last one is on the east side. Got to finish their quests.

Play demo of both. Decide then. Darkness is a story-based high action shooter and will be done in under 10hrs, Amalur is an open-world action RPG and will last you 30-40 easy.

You ask us, i say Amalur as you get 10 times as much content for the money, if not more.

Im nowhere near done with Skyrim but I cant stop playing and its stopping me playing anything else. A real fucking dilemma if ever I had one!

Just tried out The darkness 2 myself, and its a great game... but will be forgotten fast like all FPSes, so would never buy it.
