Wasn't there some comparison, even with the first game, showing that they "butherfaced" the actress that performs Aloy?

Yeah, there was, right after the first released trailer for the game.
Devs. and reddit defenders said it's face was 'distorted' due to the distance to the camera.
When, in fact, it was, indeed, modified to look... as... you see it now. Which is...(for me) non-feminine, distorted, asymmetrical, peasant-y, boy-ish, sending a message.
But hey, we all live with our choices. |

Game looks terrible. Flickering mess, the hair on Loloy is a physics mess and the game is boring.

They're always going to do this. New hardware = boost visuals until ~30 is sustainable. Bleargh.
Anyway, the comments here and elsewhere make the wait for a PC version more bearable

what's ugly about it? she's ugly in screens when she makes a face? yes. ugly overall, no. i was probably the first ones on here to complain when we saw the rounder character model they had, she also looked older. It doesn't look like they used it, so credits where due. amazing work on character models overall.
what i don't like is the hair, it's very glossy and the physics of it seems to be all over the place.
Story, main character personality (in HZD at least, didn't finish this one), not so great, pretty terrible... there's also a LOT of it so it's hours of terrible story, cut scenes.

i don't see any acne, i see a woman that isn't using make-up which for most people means skin that isn't 100% an even color and with slight imperfections.

yes i know..), It comes off as more beefy, more weight to it for sure. Pulling back the bow feels fucking great, I do wonder if its going to change if you increase Handling, that would be cool.. it's in fact a little too weighty perhaps, i can see how it could increase bow combat difficulty a bit (slowing you down a little maybe). i'm just 1h in so...
