So... you take native 4k, all RT and PT crap on, get 28 fps on a $2k GPU. Now, use fancy shmancy tech to downscale that 4k to 2k, use some AI upscaling shenanigans to bring it up to 4k, generate 3 frames for every one frame using DLSS4.... zomg
I still remember people going apeshit crazy when AMD and nVidia would optimize drivers to score better in benchmarks, but no one bats at eye at this sophisticated cheating
edit: I'll still probably get the 5090 though for my AI learning and experimentation shit
yes, how come a $2k GPU runs Cyberpunk at 25 fps? Why would you even spend $2k on a GPU that can only run this at 25fps without cheating ?!
Now I understand why console peasants like headshot (and myself but ssshhh) stopped playing on PC
(yes I know you will tell me that they enabled amazing RTX and what not effects where you need a magnifying glass to see the difference between ON and OFF yet it eats 200fps).
Even with the yt compression you see a lot of detail being lost, the colors are slightly wrong, and I can't imagine how bad it will look and feel when playing, cause fuck it, normal frame gen already causes artifacting and other issues.
Just more shit to encourage lazy development of games. Just plaster on all this garbage and it will run fine. I'm really hating modern gaming.
Exclusive GPU showcase on a game from 2020? All running on locked settings with various AI upscaling bullshit turned on. Total farce for modern gaming, if you ask me, both from hardware and software side of it.
It's not even exclusive to cyberpunk, any dev spouting out bullshit like this should be shunned. I can't think of any other product that you would buy and then had to wait years until it was working properly.
Instead the majority of the replies are sucking their dick, just sad

This update adds support for DLSS 4 on PC and introduces various fixes, notably to Photo Mode.
Quote:
PC-specific
- Added support for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, which boosts FPS by using AI to generate up to three times per traditionally rendered frame – enabled with GeForce RTX 50 Series on January 30th. DLSS 4 also introduces faster single Frame Generation with reduced memory usage for RTX 50 and 40 Series. Additionally, you can now choose between the CNN model or the new Transformer model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA on all GeForce RTX graphics cards today. The new Transformer model enhances stability, lighting, and detail in motion.
- Fixed artifacts and smudging on in-game screens when using DLSS Ray Reconstruction.
- The Frame Generation field in Graphics settings will now properly reset after switching Resolution Scaling to OFF.
DLSS 4 works on all RTX cards but Multie framegen only works on the 50 series

Scamming bastards from nvidia.
They are trying to sell their 50 series with DLSS 4 benchmarks compared to older cards without DLSS. Massive improvement!
And then the trick is they've just improved DLSS for all models.
Wouldn't be suprsised they actually released some DLSS3 stuff (without the framegen though) to older cards. You know, that tech that was only able to run on a 40 series card cause of hardware improvements .
Actually reinstalled cyberpunk btw, never played it with my current GPU (my placeholder 4060), curious if it does raytracing at 1440p.
The new transformer-y DLSS is a bit more demanding than the previous one on my 4070 (3-5fps), however, the image quality is better/less vaseline-friendly -- even the performance preset (which looked beyond terrible before) doesn't seem to murder the eyes anymore becoming a viable emergency option.

You probably won't have any major problems with standard ray tracing as long as you enable DLSS + FrameGen, path tracing on the other hand will be a tough beast to handle for an 8GB card. In my case I had to resort to some extra compromises (Auto DLSS quality, Medium shadows and SSR) to minimize the classic molasses effect due to having a low base framerate.

It can only do raytraced reflections with medium lightning. Had to optimise the game with a guide for high settings tuning down some demanding options. Frame gen is terrible. There is a bug with extreme ghosting and even double vision when both framgen and raytracing are turned on.
Without raytracing it does 100fps ish.
Never realised framegen sucks that much. Curious to see how much backlash DLSS5 will receive, it's can't good imho.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
