I did and I had it typed up comparing the dates each firmware was released, but then I thought I'd come off as trying to appear more knowledgeable than I actually am, so deleted most of it.
I did notice that activity on the HackerOne site resumed the day after 8.00 released (Oct 14th). There's also the possibility it worked on the 8.00 beta which was released in July, before the vulnerability was reported, but not the 8.00 final. I guess we'll find out soon enough. I'm in no hurry, sooo many AAA games I need to play that I actually own before worrying about a handful that may or not work on this exploit.

As expected, the PS4 is basically starting to "die" (though there are still some nice games coming for it at least for the next 2-3 years) and more and more exploits are leaking for it quicker.
The PS4 scene isn't dead, You just have to be patience, it's the end of the console life cycle and Sony focusing on the PS5 and care less about the PS4 security.

Nothing wrong with posting someone saying something might come though. It's something else if he trumps it up to be something that is definitely coming. Something i didn't see him do this time.

The Webkit exploit for PS4 up to FW 9.0 is true tough, MAYBE it's kernel exploit to work with the Webkit, but that's just me throwing two cents.
Also, the news are coming from reliable sources and website, not just random youtuber.

I wish I were more excited by this. I have an old PS4 Pro that hasn't been on for a while as well as a PS5, so I suppose I could use it and keep my PS5 for the PSN account and online side of things.
But...but...I've built up a decent library on PS4 over the last gen, pretty much all the games I want tbh, and a fair chunk of them haven't even been played much because I just don't game as many hours as I used to. Yeah, there's always loads of extra games I could get if they're free but it would just be a big old bucket of software that either won't get touched or will divert me from playing the things I really want to. So for these reasons, even though I have a secondary machine that's perfect for this, I just cba.
For people who haven't been in the last console gen at all though, or even just on Xbox, Xmas has definitely come early!! They should get themselves to a shop or eBay and grab a PS4 Pro asap because in that scenario this has opened an enormous library to them.

Virtualy, all PS4 games can be "backup" on Jailbroken console now, PS5 is probably next cuz the exploit is wokring in it as well.

Bloodborne 60fps here I come :D |
make sure you try out the boss rush mode that's on the nexus too. it's so fucking good
( https://www.nexusmods.com/bloodborne/mods/9 )
you can also combine it with the 60 fps mod (but keep in mind it makes dodging some attacks harder as collision is polled more frequently)
the dream now is getting the ps5 hacked so we can play that all at locked 1080p60 instead of 720pMostly60
cant wait

yes! you can avoid it by keeping the ps4 in sleep mode! anyway, it is just a matter of time to have a full solution. the biggest step has been taken! no worries,. ps3 started the same, only difference now is that you need to put it in and take it out. quite sure in coming years we will get rid of it

Yes but its done very quick. Specially if you cached the exploit webpage

just a heads up, the ps4 elden ring network test has been hacked to work offline and is out in the wild
if you're below firmware 8.5 (like me) you need the backport fix as well and spoof your firmware (I used goldhen on 6.72)
didn't get in the official beta but at least like this I can have my own little preview event.
maybe some of you are in the same situation
