It's not hacked. Just connected it to a TV. I will just e using that TV. Its 32" 1366x768 (1080p "supported") LG Scarlet TV (the one with hole to turn it on).
The menus on this thing is so fast and slick. But WTF. There are sooo many options. Way to many. And quick way to best tune it (and that tv) for best look?
There are upscaling options, ps smoothing and many more... as for now I've set it to full rgb range

just leave it to default. Upscaling options, PS smoothing etc are for PSP/PS2/PSX emus.

Doubt it, gamma levels on TVs are generally too high. Just set it to whatever looks best to you, there's not a whole lot you can tweak about it.

ok all the display stuff aside (solved)... just noticed that my fuckign lg 32 scarlett tv don't have a fucking headphones output. Only audio output it optical on this tv... wtf lg.
SO now I am stuck with sound from that tv and no way of connecting headphones since my buddy didn't gave me an av cable that comes with ps3

good advice. I already have hdmi->dvi so I could connect to my pc monitor for superior iq.
Now i need to find someone with ps2 or ps3 since those cables are bundled with ever ps2 and 3, it shouldnt be a problem, thanks

the modification which YOu are talking about that 360 requires is very easy and i've used it for years btw, so I get the concept with ps3.
Now that I can compare ps3 to 360 I am impressed. Not played yet but the machine on its own is very impressive. quieter than old 360 consoels. Even with disc inside. The menu is slick and range of options is great.

btw. How reliable are thos phat 40g ps3 consoles ?
Maybe I could buy it from him ? It's in pristine condition and he gtot it in 2009... it even still have sixaxis controller and not dualshock

My recommendation/advice:
Do not waste your time with Killzone (play Resistance 3 instead if it's in the library).Go straight to UC2 and skip UC1. Play Valkyrie Chronicles, Flower and the two QD's interactive movies. How long are you going to keep the console? Do not buy it. You can find slim ones at very good prices especially those with OFW. Imo it's a perfect time for someone to buy a used PS3 even if it comes with OFW. A wide range of good exclusives which you can find very cheap.

I agree about skipping UC1. I had never finished UC1 and UC2 until this last summer and forced myself to play them through and while UC1 was good, it was lacking a lot compared to UC2 and 3 and surely you can live with skipping UC1...

god of war trilogy and ascension
Uncharted 1 and 2 (i will get 3 from another buddy)
Killzone 2 (I can get 3 too)
Heavenly sword.
As for resistance. I think I can get 3 only

Do skip Killzone, both of them. Really not worth the time if you only have the console for a limited period. Some of the most boring bloody games ever. I wouldn't even recommend Shadow Fall to anyone, despite it being one of only a few PS4 games out so far. And they're not even pretty games. I suppose I should be all chauvinistic and praise them like the second coming, but no. All four KZ games belong at the very bottom of any "to play" list and the only reason to play them is because you have nothing else.
Stick with the recommendations above, there's plenty of games to keep you busy for long enough to not give a fuck about KZ

I am really not into jrpgs and if I wanted to play one there is always lost odysey and nier on 360.
As for ps3. Uncharted trilogy first. Then God of war. (should I skip 2 first games?), then heavenly sword and only then killzones if I don't get more games
also - Should I register to free psn and get some demos ? There is only heavy rain demo on the console installed and ITS GLORIOUS.
I am really considering buying this ps3 from my buddy... as I've said its in fantastic condition but warm air comes from the back even in main menu. But he never opened it, It was in well air flow place on shelf. No dust inside as far as I can tell from blowing and it's quiet.
how much can he ask for it from me ?
Well i can always just play the games. I will have it for about a month

Both Ni No Kuni and Valkyria Chronicles are worth it KC, you don't have to like jRPGs for that at all. VC is a strategy game first and foremost.
That hot air is normal, my phat still does that too. If it's quiet, it sounds like it is in fine condition, so the only real risk you run is that it may or may not YLOD on you. It is a phat after all; but there's plenty of phats that have never YLOD'd so YMMV 
As for what he can ask? No bloody idea, not for Poland and I don't think you want to know how much some ask for their PS3 here

There is something wrong tho. Maybe hdmi cable is busted or my old tv is acting up.
i have to turn ps3 and tv on and of a couple of times otherwise i get no signal or some flicker.
will have to try another cable
