Continuum is a one-hour police drama centered on Kiera Cameron, a regular cop from 65 years in the future who finds herself trapped in present day Vancouver. She is alone, a stranger in a strange land, and has eight of the most ruthless criminals from the future, known as Liber8, loose in the city.
Lucky for Kiera, through the use of her CMR (cellular memory recall), a futuristic liquid chip technology implanted in her brain, she connects with Alec Sadler, a seventeen-year-old tech genius. When Kiera calls and Alec answers, a very unique partnership begins.
Kiera’s first desire is to get "home." But until she figures out a way to do that, she must survive in our time period and use all the resources available to her to track and capture the terrorists before they alter history enough to change the course of the future. After all, what’s the point of going back if the future isn’t the one you left?
Kiera knows that the eight terrorists will resort to criminal activity to further their goals of taking down the corporations that will one day rule the world. Lives will be lost. Her goal is to kill or capture them before they can turn the world upside down.
For Kiera, there's only one organization that can help her hunt down Liber8, and through clever thinking, manages to work with the Vancouver Police Department. Partnered up with Detective Carlos Fonnegra of the Special Investigations Unit, Kiera positions herself perfectly to hear about Liber8's activities and hopefully intervene.
Like Kiera, Carlos is a cop with a passion for justice. They are from totally opposite ends of the ideological spectrum. Coming from 2012, Carlos believes in justice for the individual while Kiera, coming from 2077, believes in justice for the corporation. This provides sparks on many levels: work, political worldviews and emotionally.
Yet despite their differences, they have each other's back. And although they get off to a rocky start, there's an inherent trust that blooms between them. Kiera, brought up and trained to always depend on her technology, finds her relationship with Carlos has her learning to listen to her gut for the first time.
i basically read the first 2 sentences about the plot for this show, and my brain said 'fuck this, im out' and jumped out of my head.
future cop... future criminals... brain chip... connects with 17 year old genius... oh lord.
all the decent stuff sounds lifted from better movies/tv shows, and all the other stuff just sounds derp. hopefully the show itself is handled better than the plot concept and description.
And whats with all the geniuses as of late? Every show has to have one now it seems.
Seriously, I'm getting tired of all those autists, savants, aspergers and whizzkids.
I watched the first ep and it actually didn't seem too bad.
There are a few cringe worthy moments, at least in the first episode. But other than that I quite enjoyed it. Probably not worth watching unless you're a sci-fi fan though.
It's Okish. The third ep is slow and quite low budget, but it keeps me watching. I always liked the actress though, so that's part of it for me. All shows stopped anyway, might as well watch it.
The show is more drama than scifi. If you're expecting scifi, you'll be disappointed.
yea, it was so-so, though it does raise some questions. For example,
Spoiler:
It appears that killing off the ancestors does not change the current presence of those who have traveled back in time. Does this mean that changing events in the present will not change the future, maybe just create a new timeline?
meh...not that bad but not too great either..all the good shows ended already..might as well watch it
Have yet to watch ep 5 but having seen 1-4 i feel the same way atm. Only watching it due to lack of choices. It's a meh show to me. Worth watching if you want to kill some time but nothing special (so far).

Just watched 5 episodes straight, and i like the show. Maybe army has fucked up my brain, but i find it very entertaining . 2 days left of this fucking army!
its ok but one clearly notices the budgetary issues.
first they tease you with the future and then 98% of the show plays in the present like a c-movie crime serial. every now and then they show you a futuristic gadget so you wont forget its supposed to be a sci-fi show.
but the story is solid and it looks like it could actually develop into something so I'll stay put for now. its not like there is much sci-fi on nowadays. fringe is over and all thats left is this and Falling Skies
