"LucasArts has a deep commitment to developing compelling stories and characters for the unique medium of interactive entertainment" ... HAHAHAHA. Lucas Arts has done no development of compelling stories whatsoever in the last decade. They just milk their Star Wars license for what its worth.

20 years ago yes, they were creative with Monkey Island, Sam and Max, Grim Fandango and whatnot. They made everyone and their grandmother buy a CD-Rom drive for Rebel Assault (which was Star Wars already) ... bah.

I expect even more KOTOR :/

heheh, yah, too true. I bought a CDRom drive for Rebel Assault back around 1990.. not sure exact date... yep, bought one of the first x2 CDRoms on the market at the time, it was only $200 Smile

well I might have exaggerated a little, but I am sure you got my point Razz

edit: I looked it up, Monkey Island was indeed released 1990, which is already 17 years ago, after proper rounding 20 years would be correct Very Happy

nah, it looks too web2.0-ish to me. A little bit less understatement and more exciting is what this requires. The good thing is, the blandness of the design leaves much room for speculation on what that product actually is. The last big thing that tried to go with a mystery campaign was the stupid segway, right? It was kind of a letdown, when they finally said, what it was, so i guess this one will also be only buzz and not much substance with too high a price...

I can believe how good piracy is!! They sell less now, and need to merge with other companies for start a cool MMORPG (that cannot be pirated) I love it! // In the future everything will be online, all games will need login/password for play, even Windows OS will be needing it someday.

Wasn't it LucasArts (or BioWare maybe?) that said, when asked about a proper sequel to KotOR/KotOR 2, that SWtOR will be like KotOR 3 and 4 and 5 and more? lol wut

until lucasarts says they have gilbert, schafer and grossman on board and are making five new P&C adventure games, ill never buy another lucasarts game again i expect.

so ill never buy another lucasarts game again.... Sad

oh how i miss the good old days, when good writing in games mattered more than well modelled assault rifles.

still lucasarts will always hold a place in my heart for their early masterstrokes.
