I knew I recognized that name somewhere! These are the guys behind World War 3 - a scam-esque early-access clusterfuck that has been languishing in development for years. Last I checked they were partnering with the Russians (My.com) to make it Free-To-Play. These guys are completely incompetent.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

They are 'kompletely inkompetent' because they dared to mismanage / fail at developing a videogame?!
They are 'kompletely inkompetent' because they learned from their mistakes and now they have a new product on Steam that sits at a Very Positive rating on Steam?!
Finished after about 30 hours...still need to go back since I managed to get one of my companions killed. Can't have that!
In my book a very good game, although it does lose its momentum the further you go. It starts to overstay its welcome due to its length and even though the story is interesting, I felt the game should have compressed it.
Base building was a fine addition to the game. Very Fallout 4 style UI, but like said, it's nowhere near as cluttered and can give you a small disctraction to the sneaking and shooting.
Game looks great, runs well and has a very nice music and atmosphere. Liked it a lot.
Imagine you take a mission to Cordon (first area) in STALKER, but you are confined exclusively to that area + you have a fixed objective to complete there. After that... back to base and to choosing another mission / area.
Yeah, this has very little in common with STALKER. It's limited in scope and focused on resource/team management + crafting/building, the shooting is rather secondary in terms of importance, has rudimentary AI dynamics and there are quite a few scripted sections in it. Also, you can press a button and the elements scattered throughout the map become fluorescent à la shluhacreed.
It has a remarkable atmosphere though with a solid audio-visual department, the gameplay loop works for what it is and the writing is fairly interesting as well - albeit the tone is often on the absurd side. I'll probably finish it just to see how they're going to tie up all the stories. As far as I'm concerned, the game describes itself accurately right off the bat through the use of the classic meme:
I just finished this. It plays with some interesting ideas but the budget clearly shows its limitations.
The Heist was the most interesting part of the story. But what I found problematic and unfun is when it takes control away from you and it happens often enough to annoy me. Other than the resource gathering and building the combat is strongly punished against with "insanity filter" and high damage but I went for it anyway because fuck you I want to have pew pew fun why do I even have guns otherwise. If all I have to do in this game is press F to gather resources and Press B then F to build then I'd rather play something else. The combat is serviceable and I found my fun in blowing enemy's brains out then finding my sanity at the bottom of a vodka bottle.
I shamefully admit I used the English audio because I am an illiterate savage that hates reading, and the voice work is quite bland. I have a feeling they used a youtuber for the main protagonist? Because that's how he sounds like.
Overall it's an interesting (indie?) low budget title with some love and creativity behind it. But nothing that will take your underwear off.
I wish people would spell the thread names correctly. Searching for Chernobylite yields nothing not surprising when the thread is titled Chernoblyat for whatever reason
