How are there so many remakes of established games, or just usage of star wars etc and other IP's that you normally arent allowed to use like this? Is this allowed by the creators of Dream, how do they tackle not getting into legal trouble?
I'm also guessing most of the stuff in Dreams are basically short snippets of "games"? So more like short demos?
I also wonder about the legal issues, but I got to say, this looks pretty fantastic. Of course it has limitations and is only in its infancy, yet it seems to be a fantastic sandbox. Such a game would thrive on PC

that's like saying the indie scene as a whole looks drab, i could not really care less. if i had decided to avoid it because a lot (most) is shit i also would have missed some true gems that are among the best games i've played (on my top 5 of all times).
For sure, I was mostly marveling at the toolbox rather than the creations - some of them are darb like you say, but a lot of it shows promise.
I'm not sure whether Dreams allows for something way more fleshed-out than the snippets we're seeing or not, but it's still a nice achievement in itself for a console-platform thing
The PS4 will be long surpassed by the time anything of substance arrives for this. That said I can see the community for this game keeping this alive long past the arrival of the PS5.
I honestly don't think that's the idea, it's more meant to be short games that you browse though and have some fun with. Quantity over quality (if quality to you = long games).
I'm not sure its for me really, even though i'm a person who often complains that modern games are way too long
Going through some random dreams right now and there's some really sick stuff on there. so much creativity on display
loving the music videos especially
got interested again after watching a stream yesterday that went into Dreamscom, a virtual dreams venue with showcase booths by the community and the devs.
kinda like a virtual dreams E3. it's really great
