I haven't gotten it yet, as I'm still doing gigs, but I wonder if I should leave it off for close to end game since reviews have said they gave more depth to Johnny, and it'd be weird once he reverts back to bad acting angry man once we leave Dogtown

you must play through the game's story until you finish the 'Transmission' quest.
Spoiler:
This occurs during the Pacifica storyline, with the Voodoo Boys. It takes place after 'M'ap Tann Pelen' and 'I Walk The Line' in Act 2 and all three quests are given to you by Soulkiller. After you finish Transmission, you'll receive a call from somebody called Songbird, adding the 'Dog Eat Dog' mission to your journal, which is the start of Phantom Liberty.
I did see in an article that there were one or two other ways to do it, but this is the most common from what I found. I'm currently around this questline but haven't decided if I'm going to start it yet.
Downloaded both, Dino a couple of days ago when it came out but didnt install it yet. Guess i can delete it then as i prefer english anyways in games !
For those diving into Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion, be warned: It's possible to lock yourself out of the entire expansion in one of its opening missions.
I have not tried this yet myself but one of the New World devs posted this on twitter.
If you have a 30.xx series RTX card like me, you can manually edit your config to enable Ray Reconstruction using regular Ray Tracing, instead of the (extremely expensive on 30.xx series) Path Tracing. Big boost to image quality and FPS (doubled mine).
Edit: yeah, that looks damn awesome Even if this was just an adventure / walking sim i would've been impressed with these graphics and the amount of detail put into the world. Just the stuff NPC's does is super impressive and makes the world feel quite alive, much unlike Starfield.
Tested that RR option and yeah, it can be enabled on 30xx.
Static image is clearer, looks better, cleaner, BUT:
• there's serious smudging* / ghosting visible on distant NPCs and some other objects that move
• while moving around, the blurring of the image is bit more visible (like some TAA)
• not sure the increase in GPU usage and Watts is worth it
Still looks better than any other game, I don't mind the ghosting, I actually like effects like object motion blur in games, so I don't even notice it that much.
Yep! It's annoying because it's a genuine issue with Youtube compression. It's very evident in game but it gets kind of murkey once submitted to the YT gods
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
