Wish someone would let me know if everyone who updated tp 2.1 lost there saved games, and if so is there any way to retrieve?

Lost game after patch
Are you telling me that Microsoft released a patch, to fix problems, and didn't tell us that if installed, saved games would be gone. Is there any way to get saved game back?
