rename the borderlands.exe to ut3.exe and enable AA for UT3 in control panel
also, for all i would suggest to disable Ambient Occlusion, kills FPS like hell and isnt really rewarding

Ore lumps you mean? pretty sure those have to be gained by mining those yellow chunks via the "prospecting" skill.
(Iron, gold and obsidian thoguh obsidian is quite rare.)
