The legend mode is actually Fantasista from PES's Japan PS2 version, intruduced before "Be a Pro" in Fifa (2005 or 2006, don't know for sure).

Tell us about the multiplayer capabilities - direct ip ...

it does work online, i signed up earlier and played a match Smile, a little laggy but not unplayable
