Need some help fellas!
I'm loading into the game, but then I just get a black screen and my monitor goes into standby. I'm running a 5870. Haven't had this problem in any game so far.

have you tried a fresh install, and maybe a fresh install of your latest vid drivers?
Yeah I have, both the game and video card drivers... 
It's just this game tho, Fallout 3, etc are all perf ... |

I get a similar problem... mine loads in fine, but I get a garbled screen of visual artifacts.
Only Dead Space.. every other game works fine, cards not overheating, etc.
Using the Reloaded rls.
