I tried lastest drivers & did all the updates but the .exe just crashes as soon as i run it.

This /offline fix is awesome.No crack needed and the game will always be updated 
Wonder if this will work for Hawx 2 but i doubt that.
You mean there's some crack other than skidrow? |

I had constant freezing and low fps so ran it in win 98/me compatibility mode and made a custom cfg file using http://donotargue.com/cfg-makers/rage/
dropped alot of the settings to low or default ... |

The simulation level in Rage's races is on par or even better. 
Definitely better than WRC 2, that's for sure

Maybe it's a crack issue, my legit copy works fine.
Maybe its from cfg tweaks "fighting" with the stuff id tweaked in patch.
Patch fixes only performance issues i don't have those without it s ... |

Got around to testing the patch, as I mentioned earlier (Or as I expected.) cvarAdd has now been fixed so these can all be removed now for those whom are still using parts of my config.
