I'm just not into them anymore. Used to play a lot of Mortal Kombat, soul caliber/blade, Tekken 1,2& 3 , Street fighter (even have an Arcade cabinet, but had to leave it in Belgium  ),...
Most newer games in the genre aren't as fun anymore and I see that it's more about button mashing or 50 hit combos.
Was even happy to win a copy of King of Fighters XIII and turned out I didn't love the franchise as much as I used to do (still better than most of the new stuff that came out).

As Sabin said, it's because of online. Every one Iv'e seen come out that had online play was absolutely shit. I do it a bit when I have friends over and shit but that's the extent of it.

Yeah, Mr Squirrel and I tried some D&D Tower of Doom and the lag was so bad it ended up disconnecting us constantly. Meh.
