Ugh dont remind me. More corruption cases, more bullshit, more more more.
The government department of public finance (excuse my translation lol), detected that the other department that handles the elections etc, made tons of proyects which costs elevated almost a 1000% over the initial budget, over 100 million US were payed in checks to a person to "pay workers" and they said part of it was to "pay voters and election supporters of the faction"
Same for the public roads ministry (or something) overcharged proyects.
And yet nothing has happened and these crimes were DETECTED by our government, by the people who handle the finances of the ministers.
Ugh..... and my electric bill just doubled for no fucking reason, 100% increase because "we used it"
Patience....

I'd say Political Corruption is a problem in most countries. Even here in Europe. Although, it's less present here, but politicians are a greedy bunch of fucks.

Indeed, this is not uncommon, problem is that if its out, jesus fuck, treat it as a crime, dont just shove it aside, our own governement has found out these cases and they just ignore it. Its fucking ridiculous and the people? jesus.... its like living in in a joke where everyone around me is a brainless sheep.

So they aren't doing ANYTHING to trace back to who stole the money and fucked everything up? What's the point of announcing it then, you'll just piss people off....

They dont follow up, EVER, our district attourney is challenging the Public Roads ex-minister, for over 100 million RD$ investigation, and the EX-district attourney is calling for the case to be "archived"
Same shit happened with Ex-President Leonel, his administration violated the constitution by going over the annual budget and making a huge hole in the deficit. His case was archived even before investigating anything.
Same for his left hand who has amassed over 1 billion dollars in investments from jets to buildings, "archived", he was a country hick 20 years ago.
I tell you, living here and reading the news is killing me, im trying to stop reading but ugh...

Same here, for a moment I thought Lopin had fully embraced the "you either migrate or live long enough to see yourself become the corrupt politician" mentality
