|
 |
Now if anyone says now "Well, if a Zombie gentleman really loves a Zombie lady, then sometimes ..." I will kick him in the nuts...
Seriously now, have you ever thought of it?
I just had a sudden realization while watching The Walking Dead.
A) Zombies only become from wounded, but surviving humans.
B) Once a Zombie, one needs to eat fresh meat, that is humans or non-Zombies
C) in all the movies, games, series, as in "The Walking Dead", Zombies seem to "spread" quite rapidly,
which on the first sight might seem logical, since Zombies are technically dead, they are more likely to
simply accumulate over time rather than disappear through "natural death".
The only way to disappear would be getting killed by fresh, I mean healthy, humans.
Now here's the point:
D) When the population of Zombies reaches a point where they're so many that they fill
complete cities and randomly stumble through the streets aimlessly... ultimately that means
that every victim (human or animal) they see, they're jumping it like flies on shit,
leaving nothing behind their prey. Like that episode in "The Walking Dead" where the
Sheriff loses his horse, nothing is left from the horsey after the Zombie hordes are finished with it.
If that is the case, then how come "new" Zombies keep appearing from nowhere?
The more Zombies there are, the less is left from their "food", hence the less Zombies can come forth.
Shouldn't it be so that, whenever the Zombie population is rather low, the more likely
it is that new Zombies will keep turning more rapidly, and then, once their population
has reached a certain "critical point", ... population just stagnates?
Meaning: the more Zombies there are in a certain pool, the less new Zombies will become.
Of course that still doesn't solve the disappearence problem... but I'm just sayin'
What are you thinking about that?

"There will be no end to the troubles of humanity, until philosophers become kings, or kings become philosophers.", Plato.
"Hyperbole will destroy us all.", Matt Dillahunty.
"The hyperbole, the demonization of the other opinion and the unwillingness to even read the opposing opinion destroys the so important political discussions necessary for the well functioning of society.", Couleur

Lay off that weed!
Otherwise, it's simple: new zombies come from overpopulated cities.
Another question comes to mind though: considering how violently zombies attack their prey and how intensely they eat it, the newbie should be a shambling skeleton, yet 99% of Z's in WD look rotten but intact. Ooops!

You're being rather vague... overpopulated by what? Humans, Zombies? |
Zombies. They slowly ooze from there to the countryside as fast as their poor feet let them.

That's because there are billions of humans on Earth and since zombies don't eat each other; usually once someone is infected and the virus has started taking hold, they get ignored by other zombies and thus become one rather than just being eaten.

This is something I been thinking about too.
Take The Walking Dead as an example.
You see zombies with legs cut off, bleeding like mad, probably to the point of almost no blood left, yet they can walk/run. How do (rotten) muscles work without "fuel"?
Or on some you see chest open. Lungs broke. heart broke. How do the muscles move? Shouldnt them bleeding out/getting no air have same effect as getting stabbed in head?
What about those chopped off heads still "living". How are they still able to move?
Shit like this annoys the poop in my anus out of me.
I hate you.

Very easy paxsali: People do not instantanously become zombies, but they are easily infected. On an initial outbreak a lot of people will be infected and spread among other survivers, only to turn into zombies themselves and creating more infected that hide beneath the healthy like a time bomb.
After some time, the zombie populace will be too big to grow further.
Of course these are all mostly post-night of the living dead zombies. In those movies (and in the more comedic return of the living dead movies) bio chemicals were able to revive actually dead people and tissue and infect people.
And then we have the runners like in 28 days/weeks later (where they could also die of starvation) but those are purely infected and no living dead anymore.

No, what I meant is that cities instantly became the most large reservoirs of zombies (it's evident why). As the zombies in cities have nothing to do and to eat, they slowly move out of the cities to the outskirts and countryside. They don't have intelligence, move erratically and that's why the process is slow. Now we go back to the countryside - survivors kill a hundred zombies and supposedly the area should be clean. But the nearest city with hundreds of thousands (or a million) people is constantly oozing zombies that sooner or later come across the same area where the happy survivors were camping. That explains the respawn illusion.
